Got Tough Chemical Vapors & Odors? Get A Portable Fume Removal System

Do you own a shop where strong chemical vapors are a problem–and you’re not sure what exactly to do about it? As you probably know, those chemical fumes and gases aren’t good to breathe and some are really obnoxious, to the point of preventing work from being done. And you’ve probably looked around for some type of air purification system to remove these chemical fumes, but haven’t been able to choose the right unit because you’re not 100% sure that unit will remove the chemicals you’re working with.

Sound familiar? A lot of business owners have gone through this and resort to just opening some windows or try to do certain fume-producing processes outdoors, etc, neither of which really gives you clean air and certainly doesn’t allow maximum productivity. The good news is there is a simple solution to most of these situations—and that is buying a portable fume removal system. Many shops only have one area of the shop or part of the process where the majority of those tough chemical fumes are being produced, so instead of buying a large HVAC-based fume extraction system, for those situations it makes more sense to buy one or two smaller portable fume removal units that can be rolled around and used exactly where you need them-—which gives you the clean air you need and saves you money.

Portable fume extractors, such as those from Electrocorp, come with carbon filters containing anywhere from 20 to 240 pounds or more of heavy-duty specially activated carbon. This carbon easily absorbs most industrial chemicals such as benzene, TCE, formaldehyde, hydrogen sulfide gas, and more. But the advantage you have with these portable gas & vapor collection systems is that, about 99% of the time, the carbon can be tuned to specifically remove the chemical you’re concerned about. No guess work, wondering, or spending money on a fume extractor you’re not sure about. That’s why we recommend Electrocorp most often for business owners needing accurate portable fume extraction that’s affordable. So if you have a chemical fume or heavy industrial odor situation and need to get it fixed, we highly recommend considering Electrocorp portable fume extractors, such as the RSU or Air Rhino series for fast, accurate air cleaning.

Dust Collection Systems: Reducing Costs for Manufacturing Businesses

When it comes to manufacturing, naturally the materials being put through cutters, canners, grinders, saws, sandblasters, routers, lathes, and other machines all produce particles of various types and sizes. And most of the larger particles and pieces are too heavy to float around, but the mid-size, small and really tiny fibers, particles, and dust do become airborne very easily and immediately create health hazards for workers. But you know all of this if you own or run a manufacturing business, and you probably have some type of dust collection system in place.

There are 3 simple things to consider, however, regarding dust collection and indoor air quality in a manufacturing setting that may help you significantly reduce your overall costs of running your business. The first is making sure to use HEPA filters, not just ‘dust filters’. HEPA filters, whether in commercial HVAC mounted air cleaner units or floor units are the only way to remove the toxic fine dust particles—and it’s really important to remove those because it’s the tiny particles that cause the majority more serious (and costly) health issues for workers.

Second, make sure whatever industrial air cleaner, dust collector, etc, you have running is using pre-filters. Why? Because pre-filters trap those larger particles and fibers before they reach your more expensive HEPA and carbon filters and prevent those main filters from clogging up and needing replacing prematurely—which costs you money prematurely. All you have to do is make sure the pre filters in your dust collector or air filtration system get replaced every 3 months and you’ll get maximum life out of your dust collection system.

Third, it’s a good idea to have an industrial dust filtration system attached to the HVAC as well as having several floor units. Why? Because the floor units or source capture particle extractors are removing a lot of the dust before it ever really becomes airborne (which saves your other filters and protects employees and machinery better), then you have the HVAC dust collection system removing any remaining dust. May sound like overkill, but it’s like having 2-3 pairs of shoes—they all last longer, and all perform better, longer, which saves money in the long run.

Not only that, but having a dual HVAC based dust removal system and floor units protects you better, too, just in case there was ever a lawsuit for air quality related injury. Having both systems makes it clear that you were doing everything you could to provide clean air, not being negligent, etc. You’ll also save on equipment maintenance, as well, since over 99% of dust is being removed, not accumulating where it shouldn’t, causing breakdowns and downtime, which cost you money, as well. One word of caution, however: be sure you buy quality dust collection units or systems that are proven, have HEPA filters and pre-filters, a strong output and a good warranty. One good brand of dust extractors to consider is Electrocorp, who has been proven for many years and preferred by many companies because of performance and value.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com is your best source for the best deals on quality industrial particle filtration systems, commercial dust filtration units, cyclone dust extractors, replacement filters and more. And since we’re an online store with very low overhead, that means you get the best, cheapest discount prices possible with free shipping, every day. Best Air Purifiers for Pet Allergies: Look for Quality Filters First

A lot of pet owners, especially those with allergies, are still looking for a better electronic air purifier to properly control and remove the hair, dander, & odors effectively from the air in their home. And this is because they know that if their indoor air is cleaner, there will be less stuff in the air that sets off their allergies—which is smart because it’s been proven in research that the best allergy reduction is achieved when pollutants are removed better from the air. Unfortunately, however, there is still a lot of confusion as to which air purifier system or portable unit is really the best for those with cat, dog, bird or other animal allergies.

Well, we’d like to make the answer to this question very simple and help those with pet dander & hair-related allergies and asthma get the relief they’ve been searching for. Top-rated air purifiers are usually rated highly because of three main things: performance, ease of use, and cost. And the main thing affecting performance is usually the filters.

Your best pet allergy air cleaners are going to have both true HEPA filters to remove and control 99% of all particles as small as 0.3 microns, and a carbon filter with a good chunk of carbon in it—like anywhere from 4-25 pounds or more of activated granular carbon (not crushed)—and the more carbon, the better. If those two types of filters are included with air cleaner you’re considering as a pet air cleaner, then it’s probably going to do a pretty good job of removing the pollutants that set off your allergies or asthma. Makes sense, right? Of course. And the air purifier doesn’t have to specifically be called a ‘pet air cleaner’ to be effective or work even better than one that IS called a pet air cleaner. The Blueair 650E, for example is an excellent air filter for pet allergies because it provides HEPA particle removal and ions that clean the air even further.

Frankly, if the unit has more carbon or better HEPA filters and a higher output (look in specifications or technical info for CFM or CADR), it will usually outperform an air purifier that is labeled a pet air purifier but doesn’t have the same filters. That’s what we’re talking about here—the performance is mainly in the quality of the filters. So whatever air purifier you choose, if you make sure the unit has a true HEPA filter and a good amount of activated granular carbon, it’s probably going to do a great job removing the cat, dog, bird or other animal dander, hair & odors that cause most of the allergies you’re dealing with. Just be sure to read the fine print or the technical specification to make sure of what you’re getting—and you’ll probably get relief, instead of getting ripped off by a cheap unit or an inexpensive air clean with faulty claims.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com offers an excellent selection of the very best pet allergy air purifiers that are certified and top-rated for over 99% removal of allergy & asthma causing pet dander, filtering cat hair, dog hair, bird dust and tough odors. We also sell the replacement filters for all of these top-rated air cleaners so you can always get what you need in one place—all at cheap discount prices every day–with FREE SHIPPING—due to the low overhead we have as an online store (much lower than traditional stores). If you have questions, or would like assistance finding the best pet air purifier for your unique situation, just give our experts a call toll-free at 1-800-701-2513. We’re here to help!

HVAC Duct Mounted UV Light Air Purifiers: Best Protection for Elderly, Babies, Immune Challenged

Making sure that bacteria, mold spores and other germs aren’t floating around in your home or room is important to maintain good health. For those with weaker immune systems, however, breathing clean, germ free air isn’t just a good idea, it’s essential. Our elderly, babies, and those with immune system disorders are in that group of people that definitely don’t need extra bacteria, viruses, mold spores and other infectious agents floating around. And since the ducts in most homes’ air conditioners have been found in research to be the main source of large amounts of these pollutants (along with dust mites, pollen, etc), UV light air purification systems mounted in the ducts are being used more and more because they effectively kill these pollutants on contact and help these individuals lead better, healthier lives.

UV light has been used for years to disinfect various materials—water, petri dishes in labs, air, etc—and since it is so good at sterilizing the air, many people are turning to these ultraviolet light air cleaners to ensure that the air that they’re breathing—especially babies, the elderly, etc—isn’t constantly re-infecting them. And for those with allergies or asthma, a significant amount of relief is often achieved, since those pollutants are responsible for many allergy and asthma reactions, too.

All that is necessary to get this kind of protection is to find a quality UV light air purifier system, preferably a two bulb system, and mount in the duct work on the output side of the air conditioning or HVAC duct, with the bulbs at least 30 inches apart. This distance between the bulbs has been found in laboratory research to provide the best kill ratios—over 99%–for about 99% of all germs, mold spores, bacteria, viruses, and more. For maximum protection, you can also put a two bulb duct mounted UV system on the intake side of the air conditioner. That way, any germs in the air are being exposed to this powerful UV light going in and coming out of the air handler. This set up ensures that any would-be airborne germs are dead, with their structures destroyed and rendered incapable of reproducing any further. That’s powerful protection.

You definitely want, however, to make sure the bulbs in your UV light air cleaner system are full 36 watt bulbs. Anything less simply does not have the ‘light units’ to kill the germs, period. And if the air cleaner system doesn’t say what strength the bulbs are or they won’t tell you, don’t buy it because they’re probably hiding the fact that they’re using weaker bulbs to save money—and when it comes to the elderly, your babies and newborns or others with compromised immune systems that you care about, you want the best UV light air purification power you can get, so you get reliable results and the health protection you want. We highly recommend the APC brand of ultraviolet home air cleaners for consistent value, high-performance laboratory strength bulbs and good reviews.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com sells only the best HVAC duct mounted UV light air cleaner systems with true 36 watt laboratory tested bulbs with proven mold, bacteria, virus, and other germ killing power (over 99% effective), made of the best materials, with solid-state electronics, for long lasting, reliable performance. And since we’re an online store, we don’t have the overhead of traditional stores so we pass those savings on to you with the best cheap discount prices possible, with free shipping every day. If you have any questions about UV light, ultraviolet light air purification systems or anything else related to indoor air quality, give our experts a call at 1-800-701-2513 and they’ll be more than happy to assist you.

Portable Office Air Cleaners: Protecting Your Health in More Ways Than You Think

We spend large amounts of time, actually about 20 hours a day on average, either at home or at the office. About 8-9 hours of that is usually spent at the office, in a building or other enclosed indoor space. And while these rooms and areas have ventilation in most cases, there are a number of air pollutants commonly found in most offices and buildings that the air conditioner filter can’t remove, like sub-micron size bacteria, viruses, mold particles, chemical residues, copier fumes, carpet fumes, and residues from cleaning products, stored solvents, and more. And if the HVAC filter can’t remove them, that means we’re breathing these pollutants for 8-9 hours a day, which might explain why we tend to get sick more often when we work more, and why some people seem to develop strange health problems later in life after working for a few years in the same place-like asthma or allergies you never had before, etc.

And no, we’re not making this up, as there is plenty of research proving that most indoor air is very polluted and hazardous to breathe, unless you have an air purifier to clean it first. This is largely because, as we said, A/C filters are not designed to trap the super-tiny particles and gases/vapors that cause problems. The other issue is that an A/C filter only cleans the air coming into the unit—does nothing to stop all the debris and caked on dust, mold spores, bacteria, chemicals, fibers, etc that line the walls of the duct work leading to the vents—which means every time the air turns on, it’s blowing those pollutants into your room or office. And if a portable air cleaner isn’t removing them first, we breathe them. Not good to do on a regular basis, especially if you already have allergies, asthma or other respiratory issues.

The good news is that top-rated portable office air cleaners, such as Blueair or Austin Air, are very effective for removing these pollutants, leaving you only clean air to breathe all day while you’re at the office. And, many of the best portable air purifiers come with powerful carbon filters, too, which easily remove any chemical residues that might be in the air. It’s literally that simple to protect yourself, reduce the chances of getting a cold or flu, and prevent chronic illness from developing—just buy an quality room air scrubber and let it run continuously on low in your office, especially when you go home for the day—so the air is clean and healthy when you walk in the next morning. Some offices or work areas have a lot more chemicals and particles floating around just because of the nature of the business, like cabinet shops, auto body shops, pool chemicals, etc, which means a portable air scrubber is even more important.

Whatever you do, the point is to protect your health and allow a top-rated office air scrubber to breathe and remove those pollutants—instead of YOU breathing them. You’ll feel better, have more energy, and probably won’t get sick as often—and you might even be more effective at your job (which could lead to a raise!)

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com is your #1 best online source for quality, top-rated office air purifiers, HVAC based HEPA air scrubbers, replacement filters, testing supplies and much more—all at cheap discount prices, with free shipping every day. Baby Room Dehumidifiers: Important for Preventing Respiratory & Other Health Problems

When you’re a parent caring for a newborn baby or infant, you’re watching all sorts of things to help make sure they stay healthy and comfortable. You’re careful about what they eat, what they drink, for sure, but many people forget to consider whether the air quality in their home or baby room is actually healthy—or not. And other than breathing common house dust which is full of illness & allergy-causing pollutants, one of the biggest things that can cause dangerous, poor indoor air quality is too much humidity in your home or rooms.

When indoor humidity levels are above 50%, all sorts of bacteria, mold, algae, even viruses, now have the moisture they need to grow and spread to all areas of your home. This is why many home owners and parents continue to experience recurring colds, flu, allergies and respiratory issues even though they clean regularly, take vitamins and drink clean water—the problem is often in the air, and specifically, too much moisture. Just keeping the humidity levels down around 40-42% can knock out over 90% of mold and bacterial growth. That, plus using a quality portable air purifier to remove airborne pollutants can quickly make a difference in respiratory issues or allergies, chronic sinus infections, etc—because now you & your baby aren’t getting re-infected every day when you breathe the air in your home.

Using a home dehumidifier is an easy step to take, once you’ve determined whether excess moisture is a problem or not. How do you tell if you really need a dehumidifier for your baby room? Just go to Walmart or some other store and get a cheap outdoor thermometer with a humidity meter or hygrometer. Or, get your air conditioning service person to check it for you. If the reading is about 47% or higher, you definitely need a portable room dehumidifier.

In many homes, when owners finally do check the humidity, it’s in the 50-70% range which is unhealthy because that’s enough to give mold and bacteria the moisture they need to grow, cause health problems, etc. I’s a little scary to think how long you’ve been breathing air with humidity that high. But at least now you know, and you can buy a dehumidifier and do something about it. Just make sure you get a unit that has a drain hose so you don’t have to empty buckets every 3-4 hours, and an auto defrost function. Again, to make sure you prevent allergies, respiratory problems and other illnesses for you and your baby, we highly recommend using a quality portable HEPA air purifier to remove any mold spores, bacteria, or viruses that might be floating around in your home, bedroom, or baby room.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com offers a great selection of the best portable baby room dehumidifiers, basement dehumidifiers, bedroom dehumidifiers or for any room in a home or office. And since we’re an online store without the overhead of traditional stores, that allows us to pass those savings on to you, with the best, cheap discount prices and free shipping, every day.

Portable Home Dehumidifiers: The Missing Link for Odor Control?

Many people deal with tough odors all the time in their homes, and get some relief from air purifiers, sprays, but never quite get rid of it.  We’re talking about odors from pets, cooking, mold, mildew and other tough, lingering odors that just won’t go away. Even regular weekly cleaning doesn’t help, there must be something else going on. Basements and closets are notorious for keeping mold, mildew and other odors from going away, too.  Well, often there is one other main area that causes these odors to linger, and that is the humidity in the home or room.
Excess humidity (anything above about 47%) causes odors to linger more than usual because the extra water molecules in the air cause the odor molecules to not only hang in the air like an invisible fog and not blow away.  This extra moisture also causes the odor molecules to become more sticky so they stick to surfaces that don’t get cleaned very often—walls, ceilings, baseboards, cabinets, furniture, etc.  Now you could clean all of those every week but you’d need a team of people to help with something like that!  A better idea is to remove that extra moisture that’s causing the problem with a portable home dehumidifier.
Portable room dehumidifiers remove moisture by drawing warmer, damp air across cooling coils, which cause water to condense and be removed. When you take the excess moisture out of the air, you’re also removing what bacteria and mold need most to survive and grow—so you can also get rid of and prevent mold & bacteria problems in your home by just keeping the humidity around 40-42%.  Anything over 50% isn’t good, as this is the amount of humidity where mold and bacteria begin to grow and multiply, contaminating the air in your home, causing illness, allergies, sinus infections and more.
Using a portable room dehumidifier can be especially important for those with the elderly or babies in their homes (i.e. those that might not have the strongest immune systems), to help prevent any unnecessary health issues caused by airborne mold & bacteria spreading to your whole house.  And yes, most homes have some degree of mold spores and bacteria mixed in with the dust---and all it takes is a few mold spores or bacteria inhaled to cause a problem.  And yes, you can dehumidify a whole house or basement with one quality portable dehumidifier, which is much cheaper than buying a whole house dehumidifier that attaches to your furnace.
How do you know if excess humidity is causing pet or cooking odors to linger in your home? Go to Walmart or some other store and get an outdoor thermometer with a humidity meter or get your air conditioning service person to check it for you. If the reading is about 47% or higher, you could really make a difference in the amount of lingering odors or smells you experience, just from using a portable room dehumidifier. Just make sure you get one that has an auto defrost function and a drain hose so you don’t have to empty buckets every 3-4 hours.  As a final note for best odor control, if you don’t have an air purifier, or the unit you have doesn’t have much carbon in it (less than 4-5 pounds), you might consider getting a better unit, since the right type and higher amounts of activated carbon can remove odors very well, in most cases.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com offers a great selection of the best portable home & office dehumidifiers, basement dehumidifiers, baby room dehumidifiers and more. And best of all, you can buy dehumidifiers online right here at cheap discount prices every day, and free shipping due to our very low overhead situation. HEPA or HEPA Style Air Filters: Does It Matter?

When you’re looking at portable air cleaners and trying to decide which unit is best, on most quality units you often see either HEPA or HEPA style filters listed. Does it matter which one? This is a question we get quite often and the answer is sometimes yes and sometimes no, and which one is better really depends on several factors.

HEPA or (High Efficiency Particulate Arresting) filters are certified to remove 99.97% of all particles down to 0.3 microns in size. When an air purifier’s technical information says ‘HEPA-style’, that can mean several things. HEPA-style is a name used when the filter does not measure up to true HEPA standards, or 99.97% particle removal for all particles down to 0.3 microns.

Many HEPA-style filters are OK, as long as they remove at least 95-98% of these particles down to the same size, on the first time the air passes through the air purifier. If the number is less than 80%, you don’t want it. And, if it doesn’t specify, you definitely don’t want that air cleaner because they are trying to hide the fact that their HEPA-style filter doesn’t clean the air that well. This can be really important if you or family members have severe allergies or respiratory issues—if the air cleaner isn’t removing the particles well, it’s not going to give you much relief.

So definitely stick with air cleaners that have true, certified HEPA filters. That way, you won’t have to worry. But if you have to choose a cheaper air cleaner with HEPA style, make sure the performance numbers are like we listed above—anything less than 80% or no specification, no thanks—it will be a waste of time and money. And, be sure to replace the HEPA or HEPA style filters in your unit at the time specified by the manufacturer, or sooner if you see grey on both sides of the HEPA filter.

If you don’t buy and install your replacement HEPA or HEPA-style filters on time, your air purifier can’t get the air flow needed to properly clean the air, and soon you’ll hve a backflow of air, which pushes polluted air around the filter instead of through it, which can increase allergy & asthma symptoms, etc. And, since the air purifier is having to work harder to get the air through a clogged filter, that requires more from your electric bill and increases wear & tear on the unit. So whatever type of filter is in the unit, definitely buy the replacement air purifier filters and install regularly for best air filtration, allergy reduction, and overall health-protection.

At Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com, we sell the best manufacturer-made, certified replacement certified HEPA filters for some of the best air purifier brands—Aller Air, Austin Air, Blueair, Winix, Tiger, Vapor Eze, Stadler Form, and Electrocorp, for both home and commercial or industrial applications. And since we’re an online store with very low overhead, we’re happy to pass those savings on to you with cheap, discount prices and free shipping every day. Air Purifier Pre-Filters: The Secret to Saving Money on Replacement HEPA & Carbon Filters

Many air purifiers come with some kind of pre-filter to remove the larger particles so they don’t prematurely clog up the more expensive HEPA and carbon filters. And these prefilters work well to preserve those main filters, as long as you replace them every 2-4 months or at least vacuum them if they are the type that can be vacuumed without damage. Many air purifiers, however, don’t come with a pre-filter, stating that their systems are so efficient that it doesn’t need one or they just don’t talk about it—and those are the air purifier manufacturers that typically recommend buying replacement HEPA and carbon filters every 6 months. Hmmm….wonder why that is?

Truth is, if there isn’t some kind of pre-filter that stops the larger particles before reaching the HEPA and carbon filters, it is going to clog them up. Period. And if you don’t replace the pre-filters regularly, what happens is those particles build up in the pre-filter, restricting air flow, then some of the particles start pushing through, which means they’re going to clog up your main filters pretty soon. And, since airflow has been reduced, the air isn’t getting cleaned as well or as quickly, and that means you’ll be breathing dirty air more often, with more allergies, asthma attacks, etc. Wonder why your allergies have come back?  You might just need to replace or install pre-filters, not get a new air purifier or buy a whole new set of filters.

Ok, so what should you do? If the air purifier has pre-filters that aren’t cleanable (electrostatic type, such as Aller Air / Electrocorp), buy some pre-filters when you buy the unit or often enough to replace them every 2-4 months. If your air purifier doesn’t have a pre-filter, buy some cut-to-fit pre-filter material and place in front of your other filters, so that the air goes through the pre-filter first, and then replace that every 2-4 months. Pre-filters are relatively inexpensive when compared to having to replace HEPA and carbon filters,so it just makes good sense to buy and use them regularly if they’re going to extend the life of more expensive HEPA and carbon filters. How much of a difference can HEPA and carbon prefilters make? How about almost 3 x the life compared to not having a pre-filter? That can save you a lot of time and money—or you can not use prefilters and spend 3 times as much on filters per year—which I don’t think anyone wants to do.

At Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com, we sell the best manufacturer-made replacement HEPA and carbon air purifier pre-filters for top-rated air purifier brands such as Austin Air (HM400 series), Aller Air, Electrocorp and others. And since we’re an online store without the overhead of traditional stores, that means you all of these amazing prefilters and other products at the best, cheapest discount prices every day, with free shipping every day!

Air Purifiers for Dog Hair: HEPA Filters More Important Than Carbon for Allergy Relief

When you’re trying to remove airborne dog hair to cut down on allergies, one of the first things you think of is to buy an inexpensive air purifier. And that’s a smart move because most air purifiers will do a fairly good job of removing the dog hair from your home, rooms or other indoor spaces. There are a couple of important considerations, however, that can make a big difference in how much allergy relief you actually get and how much you have to spend: 1) the quality of the filters, and 2) the output or cubic feet of air that the unit is cleaning, per minute (CFM).

First, buying an inexpensive or cheap air purifier usually means you’re going to get air cleaning that is ‘ok’, but still leaves some of the hair, dust, and dander in the air for you to breathe. This is because the filters are usually not up to true HEPA standards and the filters sometimes do not fit snugly in the unit and that allows polluted air to blow around the filters and out into your room. To control or prevent allergies from dog hair (and dander), you have to remove the larger hairs and all of the tiny hair fragments—and the only way to do this consistently is to use a true HEPA filter that has been tested to remove well over 99% of all particles down to 0.3 microns in size.

Second, the output of the pet air purifier or whatever air cleaner that you choose needs to be at least 200 CFM or so. Many people buy a pet air purifier that is too small for the room or amount of air to be cleaned, with an output that is less than 200 CFM. That means the unit cannot cycle all of the air fast enough to remove all of the dog hair before you breathe it, which means it won’t help your allergies very much. It is best to buy an air cleaner with at least 200 CFM (more if possible) because the air purifier will then be able to cycle all of the air in an average 10×10 room in about 4 minutes, which is fast enough to make a difference.

A third consideration is that if you don’t really have a lot of odors, you don’t need a pet air purifier with a lot of carbon, so don’t pay for that extra filtration if you don’t need it. There are several excellent, top-rated HEPA pet air cleaners that are much cheaper or inexpensive, such as Blueair and Winix, that do an excellent job of removing dog or other types of pet hair without spending 30-40% more on heavy carbon filters. Our two best recommendations for the most affordable air purifiers for dog hair are the Blueair 403 and the Winix P450–both of which have excellent HEPA filters, a strong output, have cheap replacement filter costs, and don’t cost a fortune. If you stay with the best top-rated air purifier brands such as Blueair, Winix or Aller Air and choose the HEPA versions for hair, dust, & dander removal, you’ll save a lot of money and get a lot more allergy relief.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com sells only the very best, top-rated dog dander air purifiers with certified HEPA filters that are laboratory tested for over 99% removal of hair, hair fragments, and dander produced by dogs, cats, and other animals–all at cheap discount prices with free shipping, every day, due to our extremely low overhead situation! Commercial Air Purification: Maintaining & Increasing the Value of Your Business

When you own a business, you constantly look for anything you can do to make it stronger, or increase profits and overall market value of the company. And when a company is being evaluated to determine its ‘worth’ or value, accountants and potential buyers look at profits. So anything you can do to reduce expenses and liabilities is going to make the numbers look better and you’ll get more for your company if you’re trying to sell it or borrow against assets for expansions or other purposes. And oddly, one of the areas where a lot of commercial and industrial business owners don’t think a lot about is air quality and air purification, an area that can seriously add to or take away from the bottom line since pollutants cause employee illness and mechanical breakdowns and extra maintenance, which all drive costs upward for the company.

And you may already have a good commercial grade air purifier system installed or in use in your building, warehouse, or job sites—if so, that’s great. But always periodically evaluate and consider whether you have the right air cleaner system and is it truly enough to properly clean the air? If you have a unit that isn’t quite adequate,or you don’t have an air cleaner system in use at all and you routinely have harmful chemical or particle pollutants in your business, it’s pretty much a matter of time before something substantial happens and cripples your business. All it takes is a few OSHA fines or one good lawsuit and you could be out of business.

The good news is that, regardless of your situation, there is a company with experts on hand to help you install an affordable and effective air purification system that will remove almost any pollutant found in commercial or industrial work sites, warehouses, laboratories, manufacturing facilities and more. That company is Electrocorp, a proven leader in commercial air purification, with portable and HVAC based units and systems that are preferred by most business owners because of extremely effective filtration, easy to use air scrubbers, and custom design help to make sure the air purifier unit fits your needs perfectly—the first time, so you don’t have to waste a lot of time and money. All Electrocorp industrial air cleaners come with top-rated super-activated carbon and true HEPA filters, a strong output of 400-1500 CFM or more, and a full 10 year warranty, which means you can buy with confidence that the unit or air filtration system is going to last and perform very well—and safeguard your business and your health, as you expect it to do.

Don’t make the mistake however, of either thinking you don’t really need an industrial air filtration system, or that a cheap, underpowered air purifier will do the job. If you have any kind of pollutants in the air and you have employees that are exposed, you can be held liable and sued for any resulting damages or health problems that are found related to the pollutants in the air. Lawsuits happen all the time, but they don’t have to happen to you. And a cheap industrial air cleaner that doesn’t have at least 25-100 pounds or more of super-activated carbon and a true HEPA filter isn’t going to perform as well, either—in fact, whatever pollutants it doesn’t trap very well, the fan is going to simply circulate them more, creating more of a hazard. And again, if you’re trying to build or preserve the value of your company, the last thing you want is more liabilities and expenses caused by poor air quality — poor air quality that was preventable by simply buying the correct type of air filtration system.

Do yourself a favor and stick with a proven maker of industrial air scrubbers with positive and negative air capabilities or whatever features you need. Electrocorp and Amaircare routinely create custom industrial air cleaner solutions for tons of businesses and they can create a perfect, affordable air cleaner system that will protect you and your business, and they stand behind their work.

Electrocorp & Aller Air Carbon Air Filters: Refill Your Canisters with Bulk Vocarb Carbon and Save Up to 35%!

A lot of people have purchased the ever-popular and powerful Aller Air and Electrocorp air cleaners with super-activated carbon filters that are unmatched at removing chemicals and odors from the air. When it comes to replacing those filters, however, though they are the best carbon filters (and purifiers) on the market, the cost can be a little rough, especially if the carbon canisters have anywhere from 24 to 240 pounds of carbon in them. Some of the commercial or industrial carbon filters can be over $2000 just to replace the filters!

Well—we have some GREAT news for those needed to replace those carbon filters to maintain safe, clean, pollutant-free air in their homes or workshops. Electrocorp and AllerAir have decided to make their bulk carbon available so that you can refill those carbon or charcoal filter canisters with fresh VOCARB carbon and save a bundle! In fact, by just refilling the carbon, you can restore your carbon filters to full odor and chemical absorbing power for up to 35% less than buying a whole new carbon canister filter! This also means you can replace those carbon filters a little more regularly and reduce the chances of any workplace safety or OSHA violations, fines, employee illness, etc.

Or if you have an Aller Air unit and need a new carbon filter, just buy enough carbon (same amount as the listed carbon weight) for the air purifier, and you can keep you home air clean and free of pollutants, too—again, for about 35% less than buying a whole new filter, canister and all.

Be sure to only buy Electrocorp replacement bulk Vocarb charcoal, not just any bulk carbon, as it will not be activated in the same manner and just won’t clean the air as well. We know—we’ve tried it and the difference in how well the odors and chemicals are removed and how long the carbon lasts is HUGE. And if you have an AllerAir air purifier that has regular AllerAir activated charcoal air filter, we recommend refilling those carbon filters with Vocarb carbon as well, since this is industrial strength carbon that will do an even better job that the original carbon or charcoal that came with the unit (important for those that are extra sensitive, have MCS, severe allergies, etc). Cost is $14 per pound and we’ve got a brand new shipment of bulk carbon on hand right now, so order now while it’s still here!

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com is your #1 best online source for quality replacement carbon filters, HEPA filters, bulk replacement carbon for Aller Air & Electrocorp air cleaners, air testing kits, and so much more—all at the cheapest discount prices possible, due to our extremely low overhead situation. If you have any questions, please feel free to give our experts a call toll-free at 1-800-701-2513 and someone will be happy to help you choose the correct replacement carbon filter for your air cleaner. We’re here to help!

Portable Humidifiers: Extra Protection from Dry Winter Air

Cool fall air is definitely here, and winter is just around the corner. With that cool air usually comes extra dry skin that can crack around fingertips, the mouth, face, and this can be especially hard on a baby’s tender skin. This dry air not only comes from the air being cooler outside and naturally holding less moisture, but also from using our heating and cooling systems and portable heaters a lot more, which dries out the air inside our homes, rooms, & offices. Dry air during winter usually causes an increase in allergy and asthma symptoms, as well, because the tissue in our airways becomes dry and irritated, as well.

This is where portable, personal electric humidifiers can really help by replacing that lost moisture while we’re indoors so that our skin (and airways) remain moist and much less irritated. And when we go outside, it takes much more exposure to the outdoor cold and wind to dry out our skin to where it becomes irritated, which means that most of time, if skin is fully hydrated, you won’t experience very much of the dry skin conditions that un-humidified air can cause. All you have to do to protect yourself, your family & babies’ skin is to choose a portable ultrasonic room humidifier, preferably one that is both warm mist and cool mist capable, with a large room capacity.

One of the best home humidifiers that fits this description is the HERA Ultrasonic Humidifier by Stadler Form. This unit is both warm and cool mist capable—use warm mist for winter; cool mist for summer use. This unit has a large room capacity of up to 1000 square feet, a timer, easy read digital display, an antibacterial Silver cube, a filter that prevents that ‘white dust’, and more, all in one well-made, tough but attractive humidifier for around $199.  And instead of having to buy both a warm mist and cool mist humidifier, this one has both in one unit so that saves you money.

And, since the HERA unit is portable, you can take it to the office or wherever you might travel to for properly humidified air wherever you go. It’s one of the best humidifier deals we’ve seen for the money and we highly recommend it over buying a cheap humidifier that will usually break down within a year. Regardless, we highly recommend using a portable ultrasonic humidifier to protect and maintain properly hydrated and humidified skin so it doesn’t crack and become irritated, and to help keep allergies & asthma under control as the cold winter air moves in.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com is your best online source for top-rated portable home humidifiers with ultrasonic cool mist warm mist, and evaporative capabilities, all with great warranties and reliable performance. And you can rest assured that you’re getting the cheapest discount prices possible because we’re an online store with extremely low overhead and we’re happy to pass those savings on to you—and provide you with free shipping every day! If you have any questions about portable or personal home humidifier is best for your situation, just give our experts a call at 1-800-701-2513 and they’ll be happy to assist you!

Got Mold? A Dehumidifier Might Be Your Best, First Line of Defense

A lot of people think that when they see mold growth in their home, roof or office that the first and only real thing they need to do is remove or clean the mold-infested area with some bleach (which does not kill mold, BTW). And they find it strange when the mold is discovered growing again in the same area and in other areas, bedrooms, basements, etc. And they also notice that the mildew smell hasn’t changed much (except now it’s a mix of bleach and mildew smell), and their allergy or asthma symptoms haven’t changed much, either.

Truth is, mold needs moisture to grow, and if you see mold growing, you can bet you have a moisture or humidity problem in your home or office. And since removing the moisture prevents mold growth, you first, best line of defense toward getting rid of that mold is probably to buy a large room capacity portable dehumidifier that will remove the moisture. When you buy a top-rated dehumidifier, you’ll notice that it has a hygrometer or humidity meter (usually digital) that tells you what the humidity level is in your home.

If you’re having mold problems, you can bet the humidity reading will be over 50%, so you’ll want to place the portable dehumidifier in the bedroom, basement, baby room, office, or wherever the mold problem or odor is the worst. Next, run the dehumidifier on its highest setting for a few days (or weeks) until you get the humidity down between 40-45% (but not below 40%, which can increase allergy & asthma problems).

And you’ll want to set the dehumidifier to run continuously, keep the humidity at maybe 42%. Once the humidity is under control in one area, use the ‘portable’ feature of your dehumidifier and move it around to the other bedrooms, baby rooms, offices, or basements where the humidity is still an issue. If you have a baby, running the dehumidifier in the baby room may be the first room to treat. Because you’ll need to run your portable home dehumidifier continuously, you’ll need a unit that has an auto-defrost function that prevents damage to the unit and periodic ‘stop & warm up periods’ caused by ice buildup on the coils. Cheap dehumidifiers often don’t have this function and constantly freeze up and eventually break down, so definitely spend 10% more and buy a top-rated dehumidifier, not a cheap one.

We also recommend that you choose a dehumidifier with a room capacity that is larger than the one room where you’re trying to get control of the humidity, since a large capacity dehumidifier can remove humidity in your entire home, which can save you money by not having to buy an HVAC mounted whole house dehumidifier.  Also, for a basement dehumidifier, choose one with at least 30 pint capacity and one with a drain hose if possible, for bucketless operation. The best portable home dehumidifier brands we’ve found are Stadler Form, Danby and NewAir, all of which are known for reliability, high-performance, and good warranties.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com offers a great selection of the best portable room dehumidifiers that are proven to quickly remove excess moisture from basements, baby rooms, bedrooms, closets and other spaces, which quickly reduces and prevents mold growth, allergies, asthma and more. And since we’re an online store with very low overhead, we gladly pass those savings on to you with cheap discount prices every day, and free shipping—with expert support before and after the sale. Removing Cat Odors: Four Steps to Cleaner, Fresher Air.

Removing cat odors can be really tough sometimes, and quite embarrassing when friends or family visit. Not to mention the fact that cat odors (especially cat urine odors) are actually airborne chemical and particle pollutants that also cause more frequent allergy, asthma, & respiratory issues. So, you clean, change the air conditioner filter, bathe the cat regularly, even buy a pet air purifier–and the odors are still there. What’s the problem? Take it from someone who has had indoor cats for many years, removing cat odors requires a four step process—and the correct four steps can make all the difference.

First, obviously regular vacuuming and mopping of areas where the cat goes most often is very important, including using a litter with a combination of three elements–carbon, baking soda and zeolite to effectively absorb cat urine odor. And of course, cleaning out the litter box every day. Second, wipe down furniture and spray the air once a day with Febreze Pet spray—the only spray that actually has the right technology that chemically blocks odor molecules—and wipe their paws with an antibacterial wet wipe once a day. Three—limit where the cat goes, since wherever they go, like it or not, they will mark furniture, walls, and other items with saliva and oil from their coats, spread dander particles (including tiny litter box particles) and all of that contributes to odor.

And fourth, buy an air purifier that has a true HEPA filter, several pounds of activated carbon, and negative ions, if possible. The HEPA filter will remove the thousands of tiny airborne cat hair, dander, & particles that contribute to odor, the activated carbon filter, with enough activated carbon, will remove the airborne chemicals that come from cat urine and other odor causing molecules. And, the negative ions destroy bacteria and other things that cause odors, freshening the air and naturally reducing allergies & other respiratory issues by increasing the efficiency of the other filters. A real cat dander air cleaner has HEPA and ions, ideally--i.e. Blueair 650E.

For the best cat odor air purifiers that feature all of the above—true HEPA filter, activated carbon filter and negative ions—we recommend Blueair and Austin Pet Machine air cleaners as your best pet odor air purifiers . Both are highly effective for removing cat dander & urine odors, and Blueair units are amazingly quiet. So if you take all four steps above, and use one or more Blueair air cleaners, 650E for larger rooms, 203 for smaller rooms, you will soon notice very little cat odor. TIP: install an air conditioner filter that is allergy rated and has carbon in it for a little extra odor removal power, and keep your indoor humidity around 40% to keep odors from lingering.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com is your best source for top-rated pet air cleaners that are proven for removing cat and other pet odors caused by dander, urine, litter, etc, such as Blueair, Austin Air, and other air cleaners. And since we’re an online store with very low overhead, that enables us to sell these amazing air purifiers at cheap discount prices with free shipping, every day. Best Air Purifiers for Pet Dander & Odor: Look For Features First, Names Second

When looking for the best air purifiers for pet dander & odors, on the surface it may seem like there are only a few air purifiers to choose from, those that are called specifically ‘pet air purifiers’, etc. While some pet air cleaners do have some extra features, such as antibacterial properties in the construction of the unit and filters, what’s more important is to look for the main functional features the air purifier provides—mainly, the quality of the type and quality of filters, the output of the unit, and whether it provides negative ions or not. These are the features that affect the air cleaner’s performance the most, and will largely determine whether an air cleaner works well for removing dander & odors well—or not.

First, top-rated air purifiers such as Aller Air, Austin Air, and Blueair all have quality HEPA filters that consistently remove well over 99% of all dander, hair & dust produced by cats, dogs, birds, and other indoor animals, as well as all the ‘normal’ dust found in your home that often causes your pet to have allergies, too. And they normally have an output of anywhere from 200 CFM to 400 CFM or more, which allows for fast air cleaning so you don’t breathe the pollutants first.

These same air cleaners also come with anywhere from 4-36 pounds or more of super-activated carbon that effectively removes pet odors, such as cat or dog urine. They use carbon in cat litter because it removes odor, so it makes sense that an air cleaner with more carbon would probably remove and control pet odor better. Blueair air purifiers also produce healthy negative ions (OH-, not ozone), which easily kill bacteria and viruses in the air, increase the efficiency of HEPA filters, and help freshen the air, and this is one reason that a lot of people with high levels of cat, dog, or bird dander, dust & odors in their homes choose Blueair—because they provide HEPA, activated carbon, and the negative ions, for incredibly effective pet air cleaning and really help with cat dander and odors, for example. No, Blueair doesn’t have a unit that is specifically called a pet air filtration system but if you consider the important components, you can see why they are chosen quite frequently for removing pet dander & odors.

AllerAir, and Austin Air, however, have a lot more carbon, for even more powerful pet odor control and removal. Air purifiers such as the Aller Air 5000 Vocarb, or Austin Air Pet Machine, will have anywhere from 15 to 18 pounds of activated carbon for superior odor control and removal. Again, don’t feel like you don’t have much to choose from regarding pet air cleaners. All you have to do to make an excellent purchase is to make sure the unit has high quality HEPA and carbon filters, a strong output of at least 200 CFM or more, and negative ions, if possible. The negative ions aren’t mandatory; they just help with heavy concentrations of odors & dander. One other thing to consider is the warranty—all of the units we’ve mentioned here have anywhere from 5 years to a lifetime warranty—that can be important, not only for protection if something does go wrong with the air purifier or filters, but it also says something about the quality of the units.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com is your #1 source for the best deals on quality, top-rated pet dander air purifiers that are proven in research to reduce allergies, asthma, and other problems caused by cat, dog, bird and other animal dander & odors. And since we’re an online store with extremely low overhead, that enables us to offer these air cleaners, filters, and other products at the cheapest, discount prices possible, with free shipping every day! Portable Home Air Purifiers: Even More Important Than Water Purification?

Many people are aware that our water, despite the best municipal filtering and cleaning technologies, typically still has quite a few pollutants in it, and needs to be filtered for optimum health and illness-prevention. So, most of us go to our local hardware or department store and purchase a filtration system that removes those pollutants, which is smart because we know if we don’t ingest those pollutants, we’ll most likely prevent any illnesses or diseases that they might cause. It’s much the same for our indoor air, but unfortunately, many people are unaware of how big of a problem polluted indoor air in our homes and offices has become. Indoor air pollution is ranked in the top 3 causes of most allergy, asthma, respiratory and a lot of other illnesses.

What’s worse is that humans only drink, at best, about 1-2 quarts of water a day, but breathe about 3000 GALLONS of air per day. That’s a big difference. So, you can see how much more of a problem it would be if we’re breathing nearly 3000 gallons of bacteria, mold, pollen, fiber, and chemical-laden air every day—and that’s exactly what we’re doing, if we don’t have an air purification system or portable room filtration unit of some kind in place. Don’t think your home or office air is polluted?

Well, have you ever seen any dust on furniture, computers, windows, desks, etc? Of course. That dust has been found in research that over 90% of home and office dust contains significant levels of bacteria, mold, chemical residues, but also about 200 live dust mites per gram of dust, on average. That’s what we’re breathing most of the time and don’t realize it until something goes wrong. It’s enough of a problem that the EPA put indoor air quality in the top 5 major health threats in December of 2011. Indoor air pollution is a big deal, maybe even more than water pollution.

The good news is that filtering your air and maintaining good indoor air quality is easy to do—just use one or more top-rated portable HEPA air scrubbers. The best air purifiers or air scrubbers usually come with top-quality HEPA filters that remove over 99% of the particles (like dust, mold spores, bacteria, dander, etc) and they usually have good carbon filters as well, which remove the chemical residues, gases, & vapors. And if you purchase an air cleaner with a strong enough motor or output, you can usually clean the air on an entire floor in your home or at least get much cleaner air in 3-4 rooms or offfices, with one air purifier.

Aller Air and Austin Air units generally cover anywhere from 700 to 1800 square feet with one unit, and they usually have top rated HEPA filters, the best carbon filters on the planet, recommended by doctors, etc. Preventing disease from air pollution in your home or office is literally just as easy as filtering your water—just purchase a top rated room air cleaner or two and let them go to work for you. It’s really that simple. But stay with the best portable air purifier brands that are proven in home, office and laboratory tests: Aller Air, Austin Air, Blueair, etc.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com is your best source for the best deals on the best home & portable office air purifiers proven to provide the cleanest air possible in just about any size room–all at cheapest, discount prices possible—with free shipping, due to our extremely low overhead. Industrial Dust Collector Manufacturers: Electrocorp Preferred By Most Business Owners

Dust and particles created by cutting, grinding, sanding, carving, or drilling various materials almost always creates a range of toxic particles from large to very small, fine dust–and none of these particles are good for you, employees, or customers to breathe. Finding the right manufacturer and type of units for the best dust collection system can be tough, however. And quite a few dust collector manufacturers either don’t have the best dust collectors, don’t recommend the proper units for a particular application, or discuss using a system of dust collectors for the best air quality and work safety in your workshop. Not only that, but if your business involves finishing or refinishing furniture or other items, making sure the air is over 99% dust and particle free can prevent a lot of ruined finishes, and keep production moving along without having to ‘re-do’ and ‘re-spend’.

One particular manufacturer routinely stands out among the rest, however, for quality, value, and helping business owners select or customize a dust & particle removal system that perfectly fits their business, workshop or woodshop requirements. For best dust collection performance in shop where grinders, saws, drills, sandblasters, etc are being used, you often need a good source capture unit near each machine and one overall portable or HVAC-based HEPA dust extractor to capture any remaining dust left in the air.

And one of the best differences between Electrocrop and a lot of other industrial dust collector manufacturers is that many of the Electrocorp units also offer the ability to capture tough fumes at the same time, with the very best activated carbon filters available. That means if you’re working with solvents, paints, finish removers, varnishes, etc., and doing a lot of grinding, sanding, carving, using routers, etc, you can remove over 99% of all particles AND any fumes, gases or vapors, all at the same time. This can save you a lot of money by not having to buy several different types of air cleaners—just buy the Electrocorp industrial filtration unit for dust & fumes, with both types of filters, and you’re good!

It is important to accurately evaluate the dust collection needs for your shop and purchase the right dust collection units accordingly—which Electrocorp specialists can do for free. Getting the right source capture unit is fairly easy—simply choose a unit that has a pre-filter / dust filter for larger particles and a HEPA filter for the smaller particles, so that the unit isn’t exhausting toxic fine dust particles (which often happens when there is no HEPA filter). Next, make sure the arm and collection nozzle are the right length, size, and shape for the area or machine it will be used for. Also, if any of the particles or fumes are of a combustible nature, choose a dust extractor with an explosion proof motor.

For the portable room dust collector or HVAC unit, it’s also best that it contains both HEPA and carbon filters (more carbon if there are a lot of chemicals used, less if there’s very little) so that any remaining large or small particles are removed from the air. For source capture systems, we recommend Electrocorp’s best RSU CCH or 8000 W series dust collectors, since they contain industrial strength HEPA (important for drywall dust removers), carbon and prefilters to give you the best air filtration possible in your workshop or woodshop, without having to buy several different types of air cleaners.

For HVAC based dust collectors, we recommend the I-6500 Cyclone units, which can function as standalone dust collectors, capturing dust and fine particles at the source or easily attach to the HVAC system to remove dust, particles, and fumes from the entire shop or building. Regardless, for best air filtration, best air quality, and highest work safety, allow Electrocorp to recommend or customize a dust collector system that perfectly cleans the air in your shop, with the least number of units and best value for dollars spent.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com is your #1 online source for the best industrial-strength source-capture dust collectors, cyclone dust collectors, HVAC-based workshop air filtration systems, woodshop dust collectors, replacement filters and much more. And since our overhead is very low, we’re able to offer these amazing dust extraction units at the very best, cheapest discount prices possible, with free shipping every day.
