Industrial & Commercial Dust Collection: Do You Need to Pay for HEPA or Not?

Fibers, dust and other particles produced in a commercial or industrial environment come in many different sizes, shapes, weights and amounts. Depending on the size, weight and what volume of particles, you may need a variety of different types of filters, CFM and air velocity to effectively remove and control them. Surprisingly to many people, you often do not need HEPA filters and sometimes the HEPA filters can decrease the performance of an industrial workstation dust collector, for example and increase costs.

Most people think that HEPA means ‘better’, but this isn’t always the case. HEPA filters stop over 99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, much smaller than the eye can see. While they are very good for things like stainless steel welding fume removal, HEPA’s restrict airflow a lot, slowing down how fast the air purifier removes particles, causing them to be breathed before being removed. If you only have larger airborne particles, HEPA’s will also prematurely clog expensive HEPA filter, creating unnecessary expense, as well.  Many times, a good cartridge type dust collector with a pressure-cleanable MERV 11 or 14 is much better, far cheaper on filter costs, and as a film of dust builds up, effiiciency gets close to HEPA anyway :)  At the same time, commercial HEPA purifiers can be very important if there are super fine dust particles being produced, smoke or people coughing or having other reactions with no apparent reason.

So when deciding what kind of industrial or commercial dust removal system you need, it is often best to speak to an industrial air quality specialist to make sure that you get the best commercial dust collection system for your needs without overspending. At our online store we offer a wide variety of top rated commercial HEPA workstation air cleaners, industrial dust collection systems and more, with custom options available. Residential Air Sanitizers: How They Are Different from Standard Indoor Air Purifiers

When it comes to improving air quality in residential applications, there are a variety of types of pollutants to consider. The obvious particle removal filters and chemical-removing carbon or other media filters are good places to start, for sure, but neither are germicidal or provide any protection from germs. When looking for true air sanitation, this must be approached in a different way as air sanitation is a different category requiring different methods that actually kill airborne bacteria, viruses and other organisms.

Residential air sanitation is usually done with HVAC-attached or portable residential air santizers that use either UV light, ions, ozone, or thermodynamic methods (heat) to destroy airborne organisms. Some HEPA filters may remove larger bacteria, and some do kill bacteria and viruses if the filter has antimicrobial silver in the filter. Without the silver, however, a typical HEPA filter is not germicidal and the pore size is still too large to stop smaller bacteria and tiny viruses from slipping right through. Then the air cleaner will circulate these organisms even more since there is a fan pushing the bacteria or virus contaminated air through the air cleaner!

To prevent this problem, a residential virus killing air cleaner with UV light, ions, ozone, or heat can destroy the organisms so that they are not circulated into your air. Some residential air sanitizers will also include PCO or photocatalytic oxidation, which used titatium dioxide plates and UV, which disintegrates bacterial and viral structures, as well as getting rid of odor causing VOC's. PCO can be found in both HVAC attached air cleaners and portable units. Short duration ozone use is not only safe but also very effective for sanitizing the air, contrary to a lot of misinformation on the internet.

Whatever type of virus or bacteria removing air purifier system you need, our online store offers the best selection of units to fit almost any application, and all at cheap discount prices with free shipping due to our low overhead as an online store. We offer free expert assistance, as well. Call us toll-free today with your questions at 1-800-701-2513. We're here to help!

Want Better Health & Reduced Illness? Buy A Germicidal Air Sanitizer

Air cleaners that remove dust and odors are great but most have no ability to stop or kill airborne viruses or bacteria. In areas where infections are a risk, having an air cleaner that can kill bacteria and viruses are critical. In fact, just using a regular HEPA or carbon air cleaner with no germicidal component can actually spread more disease by circulating the air that is polluted with these germs. This is because the viruses and bacteria are too small and pass right through normal filters. The proper type of air cleaner to buy for germicidal protection is of course, a germicidal air sanitizer.

Bacteria and virus killing air cleaners usually feature strong UV, photocatalytic oxidation, ozone or ions that destroy the structure of these germs. Many high quality germicidal air sanitizers are filterless, but some also have HEPA and other filters to trap dust and odors better. If airborne bacteria or viruses is the main concern, then a filterless unit can offer protection without the cost of replacement filters. An added benefit of air sanitizers with photocatalytic oxidation or ions is that these processes destroy odor-causing VOC's (volatile organic compounds) as well as destroying the organisms that contribute to many organic odors (pet odor, cooking odor, etc) as well.

Regardless of what type of air sanitizer you need, at our online store we offer a great selection of quality bacteria removing air purifiers and virus killing air sanitizers to properly clean the air in any size room, all at the best discount online sales prices with free shipping and expert support. Filterless Home Air Purifiers: Go Greener and Cleaner with Filterless!

When you want clean air in your residence or home away from home, you buy and use a quality air purifier to remove the pollutants. Pretty simple, right? Well, that’s the way it’s been for many years–you buy a top-rated home air purifier with the type of filters to remove the pollutants you have. Now there’s a better way that is better for the environment and ultimately provides cleaner air than using filters. This new air cleaner is called the filterless residential air cleaner.

Filterless residential air purifiers use modern technology such as UV light, photocatalytic oxidation or heat (thermodynamic filterless units) to destroy the tiny particles VOC’s and odors, mold spores, and germs, leaving the air cleaner than standard air purifier filters can provide. This is because standard HEPA filters typically allow these pollutants to pass through because they are too small to be captured by the pore size in a standard HEPA filter, for example. This is especially important information for those dealing with COPD or chronic respiratory or sinus infections, or those with extra sensitivity to VOC’s and odors. Best of all, filter free home air cleaners don’t have filters to replace so that saves your valuable time and money for more important things.

At our online store we offer a great selection of the best filter free home air cleaners at cheap everyday discount prices with free shipping. Our unique relationship with suppliers and online store allow us to cut costs and pass on those savings to you–so you can breathe easier and spend less. Call our indoor air quality experts with your questions today toll-free at 1-800-701-2513. We’re here to help!

Commercial Antimicrobial Air Cleaners: Reduce Healthcare Costs & Boost Productivity

Once one person is sick at the office, often it isn't long before someone else is sick as well, if not several employees, or a whole group of people. This is because illness causing bacteria and viruses do travel through the air and infect other people when the sick person coughs, sneezes, etc. The result is lower productivity, more sick days, higher healthcare costs for the company, higher insurance rates, and an overall reduction in revenue. The simple answer to this problem is to buy and use a commercial air sanitizer.

Like residential germicidal units, commercial antimicrobial air cleaners employ UV lights, photocatalytic oxidation, ions, ozone or all of the above to destroy airborne microorganisms so that they do not cause illness. Commercial air sanitizers, however, are designed to handle larger spaces, usually with more CFM or airflow and stronger germicidal UV bulbs, ion generators, etc to provide proper kill along with the higher airflow. One interesting benefit of commercial or industrial air sanitizers is that some do not have filters, so no time or money spent changing filters, which is also more sanitary (no exposure to contaminated filters). Airocide is one very good example of this type of filterless unit.

At our online store we offer a wide variety of antimicrobial air cleaners designed for commercial and industrial air sanitation, all at the best cheap everyday discount prices with fast free shipping. Call our experts with your questions toll-free at 1-800-701-2513. We are here to help!

Filter-Free Air Purifiers: The Future of Good Indoor Air Quality

The typical air cleaner, if it’s a quality indoor air scrubber, will have a HEPA filter for airborne particle removal, and either a carbon filter or other media to remove odors, chemicals, etc. In the last few years, however, it’s been noted in research that bacteria and viruses are also becoming airborne on a regular basis in many homes and businesses, but the typical HEPA and carbon air cleaner is unable to remove them as they are too small and pass right through, being circulated even more, which actually creates more of a health hazard. Then, you have environmental issues of what to do with the filters once they’re used up, not to mention the expense of filter replacement. Answer to these issues? The filter-free air purifier .

Filterless air scrubbers do clean the air quite well, capturing and destroying tiny particles, bacteria, mold spores, viruses as well as many VOC’s and odors, and don’t have any replacement filter costs. They destroy these indoor air pollutants with either UV light, photocatalyic oxidation (PCO), with heat incineration (thermodynamic) or some combination of these methods. The beauty, again, of these filter-free air cleaners is zero replacement filter costs, no environmental impact, added bonus of air disinfection which is important for those with COPD or compromised immune systems, chronic illness, etc. Plus, some filterless air scrubbers are completely silent, such as the thermodynamic units because they create airflow with convection and don’t have a fan to create noise.

At our online store we offer a great selection of filter-free air purifiers at the best, everyday cheap discount prices with free shipping. We also offer free information and quotes with our knowledgeable air quality specialists on hand to answer your questions now! Call us today toll free at 1-800-701-2513. We’re here to help!

Residential Air Sanitizers: Cleaning the Air Better AND Saving Money?

Residential indoor air quality is coming up in more and more studies showing that the particles and chemicals commonly found in concentrated amounts are definitely causing illness, increased fatigue and other issues. And while getting a good air purifier is a great step toward eliminating these pollutants and their effects, the truth is that normal air cleaners with just HEPA and carbon filters don’t do anything to remove or kill the airborne bacteria or viruses, which are often the culprit with recurring or chronic illness. These germs are simply too small to be captured by even the best HEPA or carbon filters and there often isn’t anything in the air cleaner to kill them, either. This is where a new breed of air purifiers is doing a better job, and surprisingly sometimes for less money. These new machines are called residential air sanitizers.

Residential antimicrobial air cleaners use either UV, thermodynamic (heat) or ions to kill the bacteria, viruses and other germs in the air as they go through the machine. Some of these germicidal indoor air purifiers have HEPA and carbon as well, which is better, but there are some units that are strictly germicidal and filterless, such as UV, ionic or filterless thermodynamic units. Which one you should buy should be determined by consulting an air quality specialist, but generally, if you don’t have a lot of particles floating in the air, and very little odors or chemicals, a filterless residential air sanitizer may be all you need–which saves because there isn’t any replacement filter cost.

At our online store, we offer a great selection of the best residential germicidal indoor air purifiers, with the best warranties, cheap everyday discount online sales prices with free shipping and personal service. As a service to our customers, we also offer free consultations with our air quality specialists so that you can buy the best residential indoor air sanitizer for your needs, saving time and money by getting it right the first time. Residential Air Quality: What You Should Know for Your Health's Sake

Residential air quality is becoming more important on a daily basis. This is because various long-term and short term studies are showing correlation between airborne pollutants and a variety of illnesses, not just allergies or asthma. Pollutants such as mold spores, dust mite fragments, chemicals from building materials and bacteria are showing up in patient bloodwork and are being shown to contribute to illnesses such as pneumonitis, MCS, tuberculosis, and many more. Wondering why you have recurring sleeplesness, strange rashes, headaches, brain fog or other things that seem to come out of nowhere–it’s often related to poor residential air quality, simply because of insulation, air re-circulation causing build up, and the fact that we spend so much time in the home–a good 14-16 hours a day if you work outside the home, up to 24 hrs a day if you work from home (which is also becoming more common).

The solution, although usually requiring the assistance of an indoor air quality specialist is simple–purchase the specific air quality improvement products that remove the pollutants from the air, keep temperature and humidity at optimal levels, and reduce the actions and usage of products in the home that release pollutants into your indoor air. At our online store we offer not only a wide range of the best air quality improvement products, but also a team of skilled indoor air quality specialists to answer your questions and recommend the products you need, at no additional charge. Call our experts today and get the answers you need concerning your residential indoor air quality at 1-800-701-2513. We’re here to help!

Antimicrobial Air Cleaners: Why They're The Best Air Purifiers for Health

There's a lot of information and people calling attention to airborne dust and chemicals fumes causing poor indoor air quality. And true, by trapping the dust effectively, you are certainly removing a larger percentage of bacteria, viruses or other germs that often come along with that dust. What is starting to come to light, however, is the fact the many of the germs and viruses are able to become airborne by themselves after easily detaching from a dust particle as the particle goes through the air, for example. This allows viruses, mold spores, and various bacterial species to float in the air that are too small for even the best HEPA filter to stop, which means you and your family will eventually breathe those pathogens and at some point have to deal with lowered immunity, colds, flu or other illness as a result. This is why many people who have an air purifier still get sick more often than they should. The answer that prevents this problem is simple: buy and use an air sanitizer or antimicrobial air cleaner, not just an air purifier as they are often two different things.

Air purifiers are by definition a machine that removes air pollutants. An air sanitizer, however, is by definition an air purification machine that uses UV light, PCO, ions, heat, ozone or other means to kill or destroy germs. Most air cleaners only have HEPA and carbon filters to remove particles and chemical pollutants, odors, but nothing that kills the germs. However, if you choose an antimicrobial air cleaner, you'll be buying an air cleaner that definitely kills airborne germs as the air passes through the unit. And if this air cleaner also has a HEPA filter, it will trap over 99% of the particles, as well. If this air purifier also has a carbon filter, it will trap various airborne odor-causing and other chemical molecules, too.  So to get the best air quality improvement, including killing any airborne bacteria, viruses, etc, it's best to choose an air cleaner that provides all three--HEPA, carbon, and a stage where the air is treated with one or more of the germicidal methods mentioned above.

At Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com, we offer a wide selection of the very best germicidal indoor air purifiers, with high performance, great warranties, excellent value and the best discount prices with free shipping. Our super low overhead as an online store allows us to offer top-rated germicidal air purifiers at the best discount online sales prices plus free shipping, and we're happy to pass those savings on to you--so you can get the best air purifier for your needs while saving as much of your hard earned money as possible. Thermodynamic Air Sanitizers: Effective, Low-Cost Indoor Air Purification

So you have an air purifier that removes dust and other particles from the air in your home, even as small as 0.3 microns. That's a great start, but what about the dust mites pieces, fecal material, mold spore fragments, bacteria and viruses that are so small they pass right through your HEPA filter? Did you know that, because these pollutants are so small and pass right through normal HEPA, that the air cleaner is actually circulating these airborne germs and particles more than they would without the air cleaner running? Ouch.

The future of real indoor air purification, as we see it, is the thermodynamic air sanitizer. These units are not only filterless for zero maintenance costs, they actually incinerate airborne germs, VOC's and those other particles that would pass through a HEPA filter. These heat air scrubbers also cover large areas and they are completely silent because they use natural convection to move the air, instead of a noisy fan. So, for the ultimate in modern indoor air purification that kills airborne germs, as well, and saves you money with no filter costs. our pick is definitely the thermodynamic air sanitizer.

At our online store we offer a wide variety of thermodynamic air purification systems that are filterless and go one step further than normal air purifiers, both cleaning as well as sanitizing the air so you and your family can enjoy better health, and even lower healthcare costs from reduced colds, flu, etc. And since we're an online store with very low overhead, we also offer all of our quality thermodynamic air sanitizers at the cheapest discount online sales prices with free shipping. Killing Germs with Air Sanitizers: Stop Illness Before It Starts

There literally thousands of air purifiers on the market and many do a good job of removing harmful particles, dust mites, mold spores, even chemicals. What many of them don't do, however, is kill airborne germs. Most of these pathogens are too small to be stopped by even the best HEPA filters and actually pass right through. What's more of a problem is that since the germs are being pushed through the HEPA filter with the air purifier's fan, that is actually circulating the airborne germs more than if the air purifier wasn't running, actually increasing your chances of breathing those illness-causing germs. Ouch. This is where UV air sanitizers can make a big difference in your indoor air quality and how often you get sick.

An air sanitizer kills germs and destroys VOC's by drawing polluted air into the air purifier and exposing airborne germs and VOC's to powerful UV-C light rays that breaks apart VOC's into harmless CO2 and water, destroys germs' cellular and other structures, and destroys bacterial and viral DNA which stops their ability to reproduce, as well. There are a wide variety of UV air sanitizers, some with HEPA and carbon, and some that are UV only, with no filters to replace, filterless, etc. If you don't have much dust, odors or chemicals, a simple UV air cleaner might be the most economical and best sanitizing air cleaner for your needs.

At our online store, we offer a wide range of the best air purifier sanitizer units, all the best top-rated brands at cheap everyday discount online sales prices with free shipping. Because of our super-low overhead as an online store, we are able to offer the very best air sanitizers at the best prices with free shipping so you can get the healthy indoor air quality you deserve while saving as much of your hard-earned money as possible. Filterless Air Cleaners: The Ultimate No-Maintenance Air Purifier

Millions of people around the U.S. and the world are recognizing the need to filter the air in their homes and offices to prevent disease, and in many cases alleviate chronic suffering from allergies, asthma or other conditions. Typical quality indoor air cleaners to date have included HEPA filters to remove over 99% of particles, carbon filters to remove the chemicals, mycotoxins, etc. These filters have to be replaced, however, and cost valuable time and money maintaining the replacement filter schedule. Finally, there IS a better way and that is to use a filterless air cleaner.

Filterless air purifiers use either UV light or heat to destroy pathogens and tiny particles, while also eliminating many VOC's, all without having to replace filters. Filterless air purifiers are often better for those with compromised or lowered immunity, as well, since the unit doesn't just remove the pollutants, but disinfects the air, important for those with COPD or HIV, etc. Filterless air cleaners are also the quietest air cleaners on the planet since they often have no fan to create noise and no filter that creates noise by causing air resistance.

So for the best quality air purification with zero maintenance, your best choice is a quality no filter air scrubber system. At our online store we offer a great selection of no-filter air purifiers at the best discount online sales prices with free shipping. We're able to sell at super low prices because of our extremely low overhead as an online store--and we're happy to pass those savings on to you. Filterless Thermodynamic Air Cleaners: The Ultra Green Air Purifier of the Future

Indoor air purification has historically involved drawing air through a particle removal filter such as HEPA, and sometimes other media such as carbon to remove the chemicals and other substances that HEPA cannot. And the results have been good, with anywhere from 80-99% of pollutants being removed. A couple of problems exist, however, that are becoming more important. These typical HEPA and / or carbon air cleaners have a replacement filter cost, and they do not kill airborne bacteria, viruses, tiny mold spores or other small pathogens that HEPA and carbon filters cannot trap, either. Plus, using filters made of paper, plastic, metal and carbon has a negative effect on the environment as it costs us valuable trees, eco-systems, air pollution from filter factories, etc.  The new, brilliant solution to these air purifier problems is the filterless thermodynamic air cleaner.

Thermodynamic air purifier systems use a heating element in the center or core that is typically at 400 degrees F or higher. This heat source naturally draws polluted air through the heated core by way of convection and sterilizes the air, incinerating any tiny particles, VOC's, bacteria, viruses, mold spores, etc, eventually reaching 100% efficiency for all particles, which is better than HEPA's 99.97 at 0.3 microns. which allow some particles and bacteria, viruses, etc to pass through into your air. Plus, since there is no fan needed with a thermodynamic air cleaner, the unit is completely silent, enabling them to be used in bedrooms and nurseries without issue.  And of course, there are no filters to replace, so we are saving the environment and saving you hundreds of dollars per year in filter replacement costs as well as your time.

At our online store, we proudly offer the best thermodynamic filterless heat air cleaners with large and small room coverage, excellent warranties, cheap everyday discount prices and free shipping. We're able to provide the best products at the best prices because of our super low overhead as an online store--and we gladly pass those savings on to you.  Call our experts today toll-free at 1-800-701-2513 and find out if an advanced thermodynamic air cleaner is right for your needs. Filterless UV Air Purifiers: A Low Cost Way to Stop Colds, Flu & More

Many people now realize due to various research studies coming out showing that the most indoor air is polluted with bacteria, viruses, mold and germs, and that these pollutants are a leading cause of the colds, flu and many other illnesses.  Typical air purification systems, however, do nothing to kill the bacteria and viruses because these germs are too small and slip through even the best HEPA and carbon filters. Using a different type of air purifier, however, will allow you to destroy airborne viruses and bacteria and prevent them from causing health issues in your home or office. That type of air purifier is a UV air purifier.

UV or ultraviolet air purifiers typically use UV lamps that generate upwards of 24,000 units of UV-C rays per hour, which not only kills most airborne bacteria and viruses, but also destroys their DNA structure to the point where they and their fragments cannot reproduce to come back at a later time. This is why, if you are interested in enjoying your best health, you'll want to purchase a UV air purifier for your home, office or any other place where you spend a lot of time per day.

Many UV air purification systems also are also filterless uv air cleaners, with nothing to replace except a few affordable UV lamps once a year or so. At our online store we offer the best, top-rated UV air purification systems for both industrial and residential use. And you can count on the best deals from us,since we are an online store with very low overhead, gladly passing on those savings to you with free shipping and everyday discount online sales prices. Eliminating Odors from Cars: Car Air Cleaners That Actually Work

Eliminating odors from cars and trucks can be tough, especially if the source of the odors is constantly present. Even with regular cleaning, if the cleaning isn't done well enough or deep enough, if the source is constantly there, you'll need something to get rid of the airborne VOC's that are being released that cause the majority of automobile odors.

A top rated car air cleaner is often your best bet for keeping odors under control, provided that it has the correct filters and enough airflow to do the job. Regarding filters, since 80% of these odors usually come from airborne VOC's from decomposing organic material (food, pet dander, etc), a quality activated carbon filter of at least a pound or two in weight is needed because that is what activated carbon does well--remove VOC's. And in case the odors are from other non-VOC chemicals, carbon is often very good for those, as well.

And yes, much of the smoke odor you smell in cars is from the tar and smoke particles that are lodged in the upholstery, on surfaces, in the cracks, etc. This is why if you're looking for a good smoke remover for cars, a car air cleaner with a good amount of carbon along with a HEPA filter to remove the particles is a very good choice. It works because it removes the pollutants causing the odor or irritation. Ionic car air cleaner don't remove anything--they just use ions to cause the particles to fall out of the air, to be recirculated again later. Ions will disintegrate some VOC's, but will always leave a certain amount in the air for you to breathe.

Regardless of whether you're trying to eliminate odor from cars, trucks or other enclosed vehicles, your best bet is to buy a quality car air cleaner with carbon and HEPA filters, with at least 20-40 CFM (cubic feet per minute) airflow. At our online store we offer a great selection of quality car air purifiers that are proven effective for improving air quality in cars and trucks. And as an online with very low overhead, we are able to offer all of these car air cleaners at the best discount prices with free shipping. Mobile Air Conditioners: How to Use Them for Best Results

Mobile air conditioners are often an effective, affordable air-cooling choice when there is no existing HVAC or cooling system in place or when it would be much more expensive to extend an HVAC system to a new area. Choosing the right unit and sizing to fit the space, however, is very important to getting the cooling that you're looking for.

True ventless portable air conditioners do exist, but they are less effective than regular vented portable air conditioners--simply because they are not moving the hot air out of the space, but recirculating it back into the room for the cooling system to cool again. Can standard portable air conditioners work as a ventless unit, or without venting the warm air outside. Yes, it will just take longer to get the room cooled down and will make the unit work a little harder to keep it cool. So they can be used that way, it's not the most efficient.

Sizing the unit to the room is important, though and you can use these simple guidelines when buying portable no hose air conditioner systems. Get the square footage of the room and multiply by the ceiling height. Let's say 15 x 20 ft x 15 ft ceiling = 4500 cubic feet. 1 ton or 12,000 Btu = 400 square foot coverage at 9'. You have 15', so 1 ton would only cover about 200 square feet (overlap a little for best results). So, you would need 2 tons or 24,000 total Btu to cool the space into the 70 degree range, assuming the room in insulated well. If not, double those numbers to 4 tons total and 48,000 Btu.

At our online store we offer the best selection of quality mobile air conditioners at the best discount prices with free shipping--plus an expert staff on hand to help you choose the best unit for your needs, without overspending. We have very low overhead as an online store, so we're able to offer all of these portable air conditioning systems at cheap everyday discount prices with free shipping. Commercial HEPA Purifiers: Shop Air Cleaner & Workstation Filtration System Buying Tips

When it comes to choosing the proper dust removal system for your shop, you know the dust has to be controlled--but how do you sort through the hundreds of HEPA air cleaners out there to get to the right one for you?  The best place to start is to ask several questions before buying an air cleaner, such as: what is the square footage of the shop, is the dust in one spot, everywhere or both?, what type of dust is it, get an idea of the size of the particles, and is the amount of dust being produced or released into the work area a lot or a little?

If you can answer those questions first, it will help guide you as to whether you need a commercial workstation HEPA filtration system that grabs the dust at the source, a shop air cleaner that is generally filtering the air in the whole room, or both. The square footage will help determine how many commercial HEPA air purifiers you will need to get a solid 4 complete air changes per hour (the minimum for noticeably cleaner air and usually a minimum to meet OSHA standards).  It's also important to find out the size of the particles--if it's visible in the air, it's likely that you might not need HEPA. HEPA is for the super-small sub-micron particles that you can't see. If you can't see anything in the air, but people are coughing, sneezing, etc, then you probably do need HEPA filtration.

If you have a large warehouse with lots of dust, you'll likely need several industrial dust removal units strategically placed to keep the dust under control.  Regardless of what system you need, at our online store we offer the best selection of quality dust collectors, with both HEPA and non-HEPA systems, HVAC mounted dust removal systems and more--with an expert staff on hand to help you choose the best commercial dust collection units for your needs, without overspending.

Home Air Purification: A Quick Guide to Getting Better Air Quality-Fast

Home air quality is affected by several factors, but one of the biggest factors is airborne pollutants. These pollutants can be of a particle or gas nature and often pollute the air in homes more than we realize. The combined effect of various types of airborne dust, fibers, chemicals and living organisms such as bacteria, mold spores and even viruses can create a wide range of unpleasant health conditions well beyond simple allergies. The solution, however, is often as simple as buying the right type and number of home air purifiers to adequately purify the amount of air in your in your home.

Getting the right home air filtration system for your needs is hugely important, but there are basic considerations that will point you in the right direction quickly.  For example, you can do some good air quality testing to find out what's there and then buy your air cleaner, which is sometimes more effective but also more expensive. Or, if you're not going to do a comprehensive air quality test to determine what pollutants are there, you can simply choose an air cleaner with true HEPA and activated carbon filters to make sure to cover the majority of particles and the majority of household chemical pollutants found in more than 90% of homes.

The other major point to consider is how much square footage you have and the output of the home air purifiers you're considering. Under sizing the air cleaning system is one of the biggest errors homeowners make. You want at least 4 clean air changes per hour, so you'll need to make sure the air cleaner(s) have a total output that will provide that.  Without at least 4 air changes per hour, you'll be breathing many pollutants before the air cleaner can grab them. Your home air filtration specialist can quickly help you calculate what you'll need to do the job without overspending.

So if you get the best quality filters and adequately cover the space in your home with the correct number of air cleaners, you can eliminate more than 90% of the indoor air quality problems and many of resulting health issues that most people face.  At Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com, we offer the best selection of quality, affordable home air cleaners, all the best brands at the cheapest discount prices due to our low overhead as an online store. Buying Replacement Air Purifier Filters: The Truth No One Is Telling You

Many individuals and businesses use air purifiers to keep the air clean and free of harmful pollutants. Of course, the air cleaning power of an air purifier is only as good as it's filters, and when they are used up or full, this can create a variety of issues. So, buying replacement air purifier filters on a regular schedule is important to maintain good health, but are there cases where you should logically buy them more frequently or less frequently? Yes, there are.  Let's take a look:

Most air cleaner replacement filter life ratings or recommended replacement time is based on an average, with with average filter life based on average pollutant levels. Sometimes, however, there may be more than 'normal' amounts of pollutants, or someone can be more sensitive than the 'average' person (which really doesn't exist because every person is different).

So it makes sense to take the basic filter life and then adjust based on your needs, plain and simple. If it says 6 month filter life but you're coughing and sneezing again at 4 months, it's time to change the filter. This is true for HEPA filters as well as carbon or other media filters that absorb chemicals and odors. Extra sensitive individuals are always recommended, however, to replace filters a little ahead of schedule or as soon as any symptoms return.

If the carbon or media filter says 1 year life but you smell the odors again after 3 months, it's time to change the filters. At the same time, if you get to the recommended time to change the filters and the HEPA doesn't look dirty on both sides, or the carbon filter still seems to be removing the odor (or your chemical detectors haven't shown an increased level of pollutants, etc), the filters can probably go another month and be checked again. Then just check every month after that to see where you are.

It really is that simple and if you follow those guidelines, you'll maintain better air quality and better health for everyone in the area where the air cleaners are working.  At Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com, we offer the best selection of replacement air purification filters for home and industrial air cleaners, all the best brands at the cheapest discount prices due to our low overhead as an online store.

Whole House Air Purifiers: Whole Home Air Cleaning for Less

Keeping the air clean in a home can mean having an air purifier in each room, which can mean several sets of air filters to buy as well as higher energy costs and taking up floor space. A better, less expensive way in many cases is to buy a central home air filtration system or whole house air purifier that attaches directly to the air conditioner and filters all of the air coming through the system.

Buying a whole house air purifier not only provides clean air to every room in the home, they also require far less maintenance and don't take up floor space. Many of the best deluxe full home air cleaners also allow you to have 18 to 100 lbs or more of quality activated carbon to do a better job than most post portable units of removing harmful chemicals and odors in the home. And since there's a lot of carbon, that also means the filter will last longer,  so you're spending less time changing filters.

At our online store we offer a great selection of whole house air cleaners with HEPA, carbon, pre-filters and UV light, all at the best discount prices with free shipping. Our extremely low overhead as an online store allows us to offer not only the best products at the best prices, but also provide expert support to answer your questions whenever you need us. Indoor Air Quality Solutions: How to Make Real Improvements

Indoor air quality is becoming more and more of a health focus, since indoor air pollutants are being correlated more and more with various ailments. And even if the air in your home or office seeems to smell ok, you're not sneezing, etc, that still doesn't mean there aren't pollutants there that will eventually cause a problem. Of course there are literally thousands of indoor air products available online, so how and where do you start to find out what your unique indoor air quality solution is?

In some situations, customers do have certain odors or particles that are causing an issue now, so it's obvious that a good first step would be to use something to filter or remove those pollutants and that would be a definite improvement--if you buy the correct air cleaner. And, overall air quality improvement isn't just about filtering the air. To get to your best indoor air quality, there are other things such as temperature, humidity and other factors that greatly affect how you feel, how you sleep, and even affect how well your air filtration systems will work. Getting all the necessary information about your indoor air will be crucial to buying the right air quality products the first time, instead buying the wrong products over and over, wasting time and not getting the good air quality you want and deserve.

This is why, in most cases, it's best to consult an indoor air quality specialist to help you get temperature, humidity and pollutant levels where they should be. Otherwise, you could spend a lot of money on various air quality products and not achieve your best air quality. At our online store we offer a wide range of top-rated air quality products, as well as free, qualified information to help improve air quality in your home while not overspending on products. Call us today with your questions at 1-800-701-2513. We're here to help you get the best air quality possible, and save you money at the same time.

Commercial VOC Air Cleaning: Why Carbon is King

Removing VOC's and related chemical odors in commercial or industrial settings is a serious undertaking that must be done correctly. If these compounds are not removed adequately, there will be health problems for employees and customers. Commercial VOC removal in big kitchens is one thing; in labs, manufacturing or laboratories, those VOC's can be extremely hazardous and indoor PPM (parts per million) levels are often carefully monitored by local and federal regulatory agencies. Aside from the risks to employees and customers (and the company from lawsuits), non-compliance is usually met with hefty fines if VOC levels are above permissible levels.

Typical VOC's found in various industrial and commercial workspaces include benzenes, esters, alcohols, ketones, alkanes, chloroalkanes and formaldehyde and others. Fortunately, carbon and carbon blend filtration is very effective not only as a chemical odor remover, but also for keeping the chemicals out of the air on a consistent basis. In fact, done properly, commercial VOC air cleaners can keep more than 95% of VOC's out of the air you, your customers and employees are breathing. Do ionizer VOC control systems work? Yes, for a limited range of compounds.

If you're going to use those ionizers, you have to do a complete analysis to see what compounds are present in the room so that you're not still breathing the chemicals that the ionizer is low or zero-effective at removing--and there are a variety of compounds that aren't well controlled by ionizers. Or you could use quality carbon and cover yourself better, with less liability, since carbon is so effective across a very broad range of chemicals. Industrial carbon air filters do need to be used correctly, however, for best results. Getting the right carbon blend for the pollutants involved, replacing that carbon regularly, and not pushing the air though the carbon too quickly are key points to making a carbon air filtration system effective.

At our online store we offer expert industrial air filtration advice free of charge, as well as a variety of top-rated industrial and commercial air filtration systems for every application. Call us today with your questions toll-free at 1-800-701-2513. We are here to help!

Using Thermometers & Hygrometers for Your Best Home Air Quality

Maintaining the right balance of temperature and humidity in a home is vital to being comfortable, and enjoying your best health. The right temperature and humidity balance not only helps you sleep better and feel better overall while in your home, having balanced optimal temperature and humidity also keeps your furniture and other household items from having cracked finishes or corrosion. Most people look to their air conditioner display to check temperature. Most AC displays, however, don’t provide humidity measurement or any other air quality information, and sometimes don’t provide accurate temperature measurement, either. This is why it’s often helpful to also have portable humidity meter on hand.

Having a portable hygrometer thermometer on hand can not only provide you with a quality temperature monitor and humidity meter, but many brands also provide particle and VOC pollutant information, as well. This can be very useful for finding out what the temperature, humidity and air quality is like in a given room or area. And if one of those is different than the readings in other rooms, you might want to ask why–which could alert you to possible problems that could be affecting your health, your baby’s health, or pets. Too many times, when we don’t feel well in our homes or aren’t sleeping well, air quality is often a contributing factor that isn’t considered. In fact, just a slight increase in humidity above 50% for example, is enough to support the growth of mold and bacteria, while 45% isn't.

At our online store we offer a great selection of the best thermometer hygrometers, thermal cameras and more, all at the best discount prices with free shipping due to our extremely low overhead as an online store. Electric Home Humidifiers: How to Use Them Properly for Best Results

Home humidifiers are a vital tool to help ensure that indoor humidity levels are at optimum levels, not too high or too low, which both create issues. There are a variety of types of electric home humidifiers available, and the best deals are mostly available online. The most important thing, however, is to find out whether you need one or not, properly sizing the humidifier's output for your best allergy, asthma or respiratory relief, and, of course, making sure they don't create issues.

So, the first thing to do is to find out what your indoor humidity levels are. That's easily done with a hygrometer thermometer available very cheaply at Walmart or another department store for $6-10 or so. In general, comfortable healthy indoor humidity should be between 35 and 45%. If the indoor humidity reading stays around that level, you probably don't need a humidifier unless you're trying to break up congestion with temporary higher humidity in a room. If the reading is 30% or less for several days, you likely have some allergy or asthma symptoms that are being made worse by dry air that irritates sinus and respiratory tissue.

If the indoor humidity is indeed  low, your best bet is to get a large room humidifier. A large room humidifier is often the best first purchase so that you have the extra capacity to make a solid change in your humidity. Buying a home humidifier that is too small will have to run constantly, be refilled with water constantly and still might not move the humidity needle enough to give you relief. A large room unit reduces the number of water refills and has the extra power needed, in one unit, which is also better than having 4 or 5 small humidifiers to trip over.

Portable humidifiers are often best because they add moisture where you can get the benefit, without first feeding bacteria and mold in ducts, which duct mounted humidifiers do and pollute your indoor air with germs. You also want a unit that has some type of antimicrobial protection to prevent mold and bacteria from growing in the humidifier--this is vital to prevent the humidifier from actually lowering air quality and possibly making you sick.  You also have to consider whether you want an ultrasonic unit or not. If so, make sure it has a demineralization cartridge to keep mineral spots from settling on your furniture.  If you have respiratory infections or COPD, you'll probably want to consider steam humidifiers, since the mist has been disinfected as it leaves the humidifier.

At our online store, we have a wide variety of portable electric home humidifiers for sale, with excellent warranties, antimicrobial protection and outstanding performance--all at the best discount prices with free shipping due to our extremely low overhead as an online store. Indoor Air Quality Monitors: Helping You Save Money--and Your Health

Home air quality is fast becoming a primary focus in many modern health practitioner circles, and for many individuals. This is because 1) more and more links are being established in research between illness and the pollutants commonly found in homes, and 2) the fact that roughly 9 out of 10 homes have some level of harmful indoor air pollutants.

And that includes new homes, which are often just as bad or worse because of the pollutants generated by new construction activities as well as the products used. But instead of freaking out and buying 20 air purifiers for your home and hoping it works, a smarter approach is often to first buy a handheld indoor air monitor.  Here's why:

Indoor air monitors are often a smarter first purchase because they can quickly tell you what type of pollutants your have, what type of unit or filters you might need, or what other steps you may need to take to clean up your indoor air. Modern air quality meters are for sale online now for around $200 and can tell you about particle, VOC, CO2 levels, even temperature and humidity, all in one unit. The Blueair Aware unit is a good example of this.

While air quality detectors usually don’t tell you what type of particle or chemical, you can still find out quickly whether you need carbon and HEPA, HEPA only, or just carbon, and one type in a certain room, etc--so you only buy what you really need, where you need it. It’s just a smarter way to go instead of throwing your checkbook at it and hoping for the best. You can follow up with specific air quality test kits if you need more specific information about the pollutants.

At our online store we offer a wide variety of home air quality meters to test the air for a variety of pollutants in almost any residential or commercial application. And since we are an online store with super-low overhead, we gladly pass those savings on to you with cheap discount prices and free shipping every day–so you can enjoy the best air quality possible, while saving your hard earned money. Call our indoor air quality experts today toll-free with your questions at 1-800-701-2513. We are here to help!
