Looking for the Best Air Purifier Brands? They’re All Right Here!

Many people discover after buying a cheap air purifier that they might need to choose a unit with more quality. This is usually because the unit doesn’t clean the air that well, isn’t very easy to use, and often breaks down prematurely. The best air purifier brands, though they cost more, offer freedom from all of those headaches—plus they give you the super-clean, healthy air you wanted in the first place!

Top-rated air purifier manufacturers use better filter and body materials, better and quieter motors, and usually offer great warranties because they know the unit won’t be breaking down any time soon. The best air cleaner brands also offer consistently good air cleaning, not up and down. This is because the components and filters are made of better quality materials that last and don't break down prematurely.

Air Filtration Systems: Let A Filter Fill Up With Pollutants—Instead of You!

Air pollution is everywhere. And some of the most polluted air is inside homes and buildings, due to the recirculating nature of air conditioners and tight insulation.  In fact, indoor air has been shown in research to be 5-10 times more polluted than outdoor air, and with most people spending 90% of time indoors, it’s a big problem.  Don't believe that? Google EPA indoor air quality and you'll see what they have to say. Regarding this constant health-damaging barrage of particles, chemicals and live germs, however, the point is that we have a choice: we can let a filter collect and fill up with those pollutants or we can let our bodies fill up with them and suffer illnesses.

Obviously, the best and most cost-effective thing to do is to invest in an air filtration system and let it take the hit. Quality HEPA and carbon filters are able to capture more than 95% of all common residential and building pollutants, so it just makes sense to grab a unit that is appropriate for the size of your space and types of pollutants and start feeling better now. In just a few hours, a good air cleaning system can make a huge difference in air quality and over a few days, a big difference in how you feel.

At our online store you can find great selection of the best air purifiers for almost any home or commercial application, with discount pricing, free shipping and expert support if you need it. Call us today at 1-800-701-2513 with any air filtration equipment or filter questions. We’re here to help!

Good Residential Indoor Air Quality: There’s Lot More to Consider Than Dust or Odors

When asked what comes to mind about indoor air quality in their homes, most people think of filtering the air, removing dust, or maybe odors.  Achieving and maintaining good residential indoor air quality involves much more than removing dust and odors.  Residential indoor air quality products can include air filtration systems, humidifiers or dehumidifiers depending on the situation, and quality air conditioning systems that can maintain temperature and stay pretty clean so as not to pollute the air in your home, as most systems that aren’t cleaned regularly do. Some air quality experts even include indoor oxygen level control as an important parameter, as well, since most air conditioning systems don’t bring in outside air (unless you have a special unit that does that).

Not bringing in outside air means you very likely less than optimal amounts of oxygen in your home and more CO2 because we’re breathing it out all the time.  Not having enough oxygen and a buildup of CO2) isn’t good for health, and neither is a buildup and recirculation of chemical, dust, odor and other pollutants, which most air conditioners do for us because houses are pretty well insulated these days.  A tip for helping with the oxygen issue is to simply open a window with your air conditioner on for a couple of hours per day, assuming you don’t live in a city with heavy smog right outside your window. Proper humidity control is critical, as well. Too much humidity can lead to bacteria, mold growth and illness, and too little can aggravate allergies, asthma, crack furniture and increase dust levels in the home.  Temperature control can greatly affect your level of comfort and even degrees of inflammation you experience, if that's an issue.

As for which air quality treatment products that might be best suited for your home, it’s best to speak to a residential air quality equipment specialist. These specialist are trained to help you determine what you need to achieve healthy air quality. At our online store, we have a team of air quality specialists to help you get the answers and air quality equipment you need without overspending. Why Replacing Industrial and Commercial Air Filters Regularly is Critical

Most industrial and many commercial work environments have a variety of airborne pollutants floating around. To ensure safe air quality, most companies install one or more air filtration systems to remove these pollutants. What doesn’t happen sometimes, however, is regular filter changes.  Like residential air cleaners, people forget, get busy or just keep putting off replacing those filters. And in a home, you can get away with it longer, for sure. In commercial or industrial settings, however, not replacing dust collector filters or fume extractor filters can lead to a quick decrease in air quality and dangerous pollutants circulating. And for many dust collectors in particular, not replacing the filter can cause the unit to overhead and become damaged. This can create an enormous amount of unnecessary liability and costs for a business.

This is why industrial air filter manufacturers usually list the recommended replacement interval on the filter box or in the literature.  For particle filters, it’s pretty easy to just follow those instructions. For carbon filters used to remove chemicals, however, knowing exactly when to replace the filter can be difficult. Obviously, when the odors seem to be hanging around, the carbon filter is probably spent. For dangerous chemicals, however, you can’t use that method. Most industrial companies will use chemical detector strips and badges that change color or indicate otherwise when levels go beyond the safe zone for those chemicals, so it’s important to use those detectors in those environments. Regardless, replacing carbon filters a little ahead of time is your best bet, so that there’s as little chance of chemical exposure as possible.

At our online store, we offer a great selection of replacement industrial air cleaner filters for many portable and installed air filtration systems. Call us today for answers at 1-800-701-2513. We’re here to help!
