Ultrasonic Humidifiers: An Inexpensive Way to Help Treat COPD, Eczema, Even Asthma?

If you know anything about COPD, eczema, or asthma, you know that dry skin or bronchial tissues does not help. And often, a humidifier is recommended to reduce the amount of dry air, such as a furnace mount humidifier system.

However, you may not know that having a humidifier that works with a furnace is probably one of the worst things you can do for your health. Why? It’s because when you add moisture directly to where mold spores and bacteria are commonly found—in the furnace or air conditioner duct or around the coil—you are giving these pollutants the moisture they need to grow and produce more spores and bacteria to blow out into your home’s air! This can make any allergy, asthma, COPD, even eczema symptoms much worse.

A better way to help with dry skin or dry tissues is to use a vaporizer or ultrasonic room humidifier. Portable ultrasonic room humidifiers are small, easy to use, don’t use a heating element (no risk of fire), and you can add aromatherapy oils for air freshening as well as additional health benefits! And best of all, quality ultrasonic humidifiers are inexpensive! Plus, most of these humidifiers do not have filters so there’s no filter to replace, either!

If you are looking for a safe, inexpensive natural treatment for allergies, asthma, COPD & eczema, we do highly recommend an ultrasonic cool mist humidifier, and we recommend adding your favorite 100% pure essential aromatherapy oils, as well. These oils, if 100% pure, do not add pollutants to the air, but they are anti-bacterial and anti-viral. Aromatherapy oils are known for helping to alleviate and prevent colds and flu, too!

At Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com, we currently only sell the best ultrasonic mist humidifiers and waterless vaporizers, but we will soon be offering several other types of humidifiers for homes, rooms, offices and industrial use, to include evaporative and warm mist types, all of which will be filter-less or filter-free.

Ultraviolet Light Air Cleaners: Do They Really Clean the Air In Your Home?

A lot of people wonder if UV light air cleaning systems installed in central air conditioning ducts really work. Do they actually kill bacteria, mold, mildew, odors, filter the air, etc., or is it just a bunch of…marketing?

Well, we can tell you that HVAC mounted UV air purifiers do, in fact, work very well and do kill these types of pollutants often found in home & office HVAC ducts—but it’s best that the bulbs are at least 36 watts and that the unit has two lamps, if possible. Why 36 watts per bulb? That’s because 36 watt bulbs are the strength used in laboratory tests where ultraviolet was found effective for killing mold, bacteria, algae and a lot of other organisms. And 36 watts gives you about 24,000 light units per bulb which is above the amount of UV light units required to kill mold and a good list of other organisms. All it takes is a few seconds of exposure to high-power ultraviolet light and the DNA & cell structure of these ‘germs’ is destroyed.

Despite many UV air purifier and UV air cleaner manufacturer claims, studies show that the purification systems with bulbs at less than 36 watt strength often won’t have enough light units to kill mold and the most dangerous germs and may let them pass through, into your home’s indoor air….alive, where they can harm you or your family. If you buy one of the best HVAC UV air cleaner system with two 36-watt bulbs, however, you’ll have more than enough light units to kill pretty much every type of mold, bacteria, viruses, algae, etc, that are commonly found in homes—and offices. Just be sure to place the UV air cleaner in the air conditioning duct work after the coil since many organisms breed and grow on the coil’s wet surface and you want the ultraviolet light to have a chance to kill anything being blown off the coil—before it goes out into your home.

Also, if you can afford it, we recommend mounting a two-bulb ultraviolet light air purifier system in both the duct work before the coil and after the coil for extra air sanitizing power. That gives the germs two solid exposures to UV light, and helps keep air conditioner filters cleaner for a longer period of time, too.

Speaking of blowing out air into your home, keep in mind that UV air cleaners are not filters—i.e., they do not trap particles, dust, mold, etc. If you want the best air cleaning performance from your UV air cleaner system, we highly recommend that you install vent filters at each of the floor, wall or ceiling registers or vents in your home or office. Why? That’s because the UV light do kill the organisms, yes, but in many cases, even the dead mold spores, bacteria, etc., are still blowing out of the vents and even the dead particles, dust, mold, etc., can still cause a significant allergy or asthma reaction for a lot of people once inhaled. A good set of vent filters is cheap, available at Walmart, Lowe’s, or Home Depot, and can prevent most dead pollutants from blowing out of the vent.

Bottom line: if you choose a UV air cleaner system to disinfect the air in your home, be sure to install vent filters as well to make sure that the dead allergens, mold, bacteria, etc aren’t blowing out of the vents. And don’t buy cheap UV air cleaners—they often don’t last, have lower powered bulbs, and many times have metal brackets that rust out. Buy the UV air purification systems with ABS plastic, nylon, or fiberglass duct mounting brackets as these cannot rust. And get a system for your office or tell your boss about it—the healthy negative ions produced by UV light can actually increase productivity, help prevent fatigue, and keep everyone well and working!

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com is proud to offer only the very best quality, affordable UV light air purification systems with true 36 watt laboratory-strength bulbs for maximum ability to kill mold, bacteria, viruses and other germs often found in home and office indoor air.

And since we are an online store we don’t have the overhead of traditional retail stores, so we pass those savings on to you with cheap discount prices and free shipping. Bed Bug Control: It’s Simple & Easy with the Right Treatment Products

Bed bugs and bed bug bites are a real problem for a lot of people—and many businesses, such as hotels, laundry services, Laundromats, and more. And there are quite a few companies that have created treatment and control products that do help with bed bug extermination, but many are full of pesticides that aren’t always 100% effective, but they’re toxic to our families. And these insecticides don’t always kill the eggs, either, so the bed bugs often come right back. For most bed bug bite sufferers, it seems like there’s nothing that really works for true bed bug extermination or prevention, and no relief from the bites.

There is one company, however, that has created a very effective alternative bed bug solution—100% natural treatment and control spray that kills both bed bugs and their eggs, which results in complete extermination. And, to make sure that all bed bugs and eggs are killed, and to protect you from further bed bug bites, this company also supplies mattress covers or encasements for twin size beds up to kings size beds, as well as pillow covers or pillow protectors to seal in the bed bugs with the treatment spray so that they cannot escape. This company is called Bed Bug 911 and they are currently #1 in bed bug treatment and extermination.

Bed Bug 911 offers all natural alternative bed bug pest control spray, laundry additives, mattress covers, pillow, encasements, and more for both home, hotel, and other commercial uses. And since the spray is all natural and non-toxic to human or pets, it’s safe to use wherever you find bed bugs. Bed Bug 911 even offers travel size bed bug control spray that you can take with you when you travel, especially to other countries where bed bugs are more common found in hotels, homes, laundromats, etc.

Why get rid of bed bugs? Well, it’s not just the extremely itchy bites that you want to avoid; bed bugs are also known to carry bacteria and viruses that can cause further allergies and other illnesses. But, be sure not to use bed bug treatment products that contain harmful pesticides as these pesticides are known to cause health problems, even cancer, for humans and pets—and they don’t always work. It’s better to use an all-natural, safe, non-toxic alternative bed bug treatment system, as offered by Bed Bug 911. That way you can be sure to fully exterminate the bed bugs (and their eggs) and you’ll have peace of mind knowing that you and your family aren’t breathing pesticides while you sleep—or getting more bed bug bites.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com is proud to be an authorized Bed Bug 911 distributor, offering all Bed Bug 911 products and services (extermination services only in NY and NJ), bed bug mattress covers, pillow protectors, treatment sprays and more, at discount prices and FREE SHIPPING every day. If you have any questions about bed bug treatment & control, sprays, extermination or anything else bed bug or air quality related, give us a call toll free at 1-800-701-2513. Pet Dander: Why a Pet Air Purifier Could Save Your Life.

Most pet owners understand what pet dander is. Dander, of course, refers to the hair, skin flakes, fecal particles, bodily secretions, urine, etc. What pet owners either aren’t aware of or don’t like to think about is the fact that the ‘dust’ from birds, the cat dander, dog dander, etc., doesn’t just include the allergens listed above—dander includes bacteria, viruses, and often worm eggs, despite regular veterinary visits, worming, etc. And for some people with serious illness, removing these air pollutants from their home or room air just might help them recover quicker—or even save their lives.

Cats & dogs (especially cats) track their feces and urine around on their feet, which mixes with house dust, and when that dust becomes airborne, we’re breathing all that stuff. And if you have babies or small children with immune systems that aren’t fully developed, you really don’t want them breathing dander, bacteria, & viruses every day. The good news is that you probably don’t have to get rid of your pet to regain your health, get rid of allergies or respiratory problems, or to achieve your best health.

The real issue involved with having cats, dogs or birds indoors is the constant exposure to the dander & ‘dust’—which carries bacteria, viruses, and more. Sometimes even fleas can carry bacteria and viruses, too. Literally every day and night that we spend indoors without a true HEPA air purifier or air cleaner system for pet dander, we’re breathing this toxic dust and dander. And you might think ‘oh, it isn’t that much’ or ‘I don’t even have allergies’.

Truth is, if you see any dust on furniture in your home, that means you have airborne dust that you’re breathing. And, when you consider that all it takes for an infection is one bacterium or virus to get into the bloodstream (and one of the best way entrances is through the lungs) and cause an infection, you realize that these things need to be removed from the air to maintain good health--or eventually, something is going to happen.

For some people with severe allergies, that dander is causing them a lot of pain and suffering. For others with indoor cats, dogs & other pets with serious illnesses, they might not realize it, but it is very likely that their ailments or diseases are related to infectious elements they have been breathing for a long time (don't believe me? check out Hulda Clark's book--The Cure For All Diseases).

To be fair, recent studies have shown that yes, pets do help people to a degree with depression, the need for companionship, etc. But there is also a startling correlation with the people that have serious illnesses, respiratory problems, even chronic colds & flu—a high percentage of them have indoor cats, dogs, birds, lizards, iguanas and other animals.

And if the dander isn’t enough, the chemicals used in pet flea collars and other treatments—guess what—most of them are carcinogenic, or cancer causing and have been proven to contribute to birth defects. The EPA has even recently (as recent as December2011) cited toxic indoor air pollution in the top 5 major threats to our health. And if you have pets (don’t have an air purifier to remove the dander and the airborne), those pollutants will continue to create a healtah threat in your home--something you and your family can do without.

Usually all it takes to clean up the air in your home, room or office is a quality pet air purifier with a true HEPA filter and a good amount of activated carbon to remove these airborne health hazards. If you do have serious allergies or illness and have indoor pets, we definitely recommend buying at least one top-rated, best quality pet air cleaner for the main living area of your house and one for the bedroom—or at least definitely one for the bedroom, as we spend about 1/3 of our lives sleeping, and breathing the air in our bedrooms.

Which pet air cleaner should you buy? The best pet dander air cleaners are specially-designed with ‘super-HEPA’ filters to remove over 99% of the smallest particles, dander, etc, and have the right kind and amount of activated carbon to remove not only the odors associated with cats, dogs, birds, etc, but also the chemical pollutants we mentioned above, from dog & cat flea treatments, etc so that you’re not breathing known carcinogens. We highly recommend the Austin Pet Machine as our first pick, since it has a full 15 pounds of odor and chemical absorbing carbon & zeolite, as well as the ‘super-HEPA’ filter we mentioned. Plus, the Pet Machine air purifier has a great reputation for alleviating pet allergies and respiratory problems—and it even comes with a 30 day money back guarantee.

Other quality pet air cleaners to consider are the Blueair 450E and Winix 9500 Ultimate Pet Air Cleaner. These air cleaners also do a great job of removing cat, dog, bird and other animal dander, odors, etc. Bottom line: if you have severe allergies or illnesses and have indoor pets, do yourself a big favor and buy a pet air purifier. You will not only sleep better, but you’ll probably feel better in general, possibly in as little as 2-3 days.

At Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com, we sell only the best air purifiers for pet odor and dander, replacement filters, test kits, and more. And since we’re an online store, we don’t have the overhead of traditional stores so we pass those savings on to you with cheap, discount prices, and free shipping every day.

If you’re not sure which pet air purifier to buy, call us toll-free today with any questions at 1-800-701-2513. Our indoor air quality experts are standing by to help!

Portable Fume Extractors: Better Health for Welders, Solderers, AND a Source of Revenue?

It’s pretty well known that industrial and commercial manufacturing processes that involve welding, soldering, plastics, etc release harmful fumes that must be removed. And most businesses realize that they must have an effective, appropriate capacity fume extraction system in place to comply with OSHA PPM regulations. But I bet you didn’t know that many industrial business owners that buy fume collection systems buy a couple of extra portable units, as well. Why? Because they can rent them out to contractors and other professionals that have an occasional need for fume / gas removal!

There are many areas of construction, manufacturing, R & D (research & development) and other areas who’s activities or processes don’t necessarily warrant buying a fume extractor or complete industrial fume collection system, but they do occasionally need to remove fumes for a short period of time or for a particular process they’re running. And that is where a business owner can definitely provide an excellent service and add a new source of revenue to the books. Whatever chemical, vapor, or gas that needs to be removed or captured, as long as you buy a system that effectively removes VOC’s with highly-activated granular carbon filters, and one that is well-made, with a good warranty, you should be fine to rent it out for at least a couple hundred dollars a day, if not more.

A couple of points about portable fume extractors, whether for your own use or renting them out: 1) make sure to replace the filters on time or a little before to ensure that the unit is performing well at all times. It’s important to realize that when carbon becomes saturated with the chemicals, fumes, vapors, & gases that it’s designed to collect/remove, the carbon stops absorbing these pollutants and allows them to pass right through the filter. And when the carbon is completely saturated, the air passes through with virtually no filtration—and now the fumes are being blown out more than they would if there was no fan circulating the air—which can make for even higher health hazards than you would have without the unit. Not good.

So find out what pollutants or fumes are going to be extracted and in what concentrations, and check with the manufacturer to see how long that filter should last given those concentrations/level of use. 2) make sure the unit has a good pre-filter and change it often to maximize the life of the carbon filter. 3) when in doubt, get the larger capacity portable fume extractor with more carbon—more carbon means the unit will handle larger spaces and the filter should last longer, with fewer replacement filter purchases. 4) determine if there are fine dust particles along with fumes that need to be removed—if so, buy a cyclone or other full-service unit with carbon and HEPA filters to remove particles and fumes at the same time, instead of buying two separate units.

One particular brand of fume extractors we highly recommend is Electrocorp. They are #1 in the world for portable fume extraction systems and known as the ‘Kings of Carbon’ for a reason, supplying effective industrial air filtration and fume collection systems to almost every industry and application. And, they have a great warranty—10 years, which is one of the best in the industry.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com is proud to be an authorized Electrocorp distributor, one of the very best manufacturers of quality industrial and commercial fume extraction systems in the world. In fact, Electrocorp is the only brand of fume collection systems and filters that we offer, because of their reputation for quality, and value.

And since we are an online store, we don’t have the overhead of traditional stores. That means we can pass those savings on to you with cheap discount prices and free shipping to anywhere in the Continental U.S. Whatever chemical, gas, fume, or particle filtration system you need, Electrocorp has a unit perfectly designed for that purpose. Portable Dust Collection Systems: Protect Your Health…And Make Money With Them?

Most industrial or commercial business owners know that it’s a good idea (well, it’s actually OSHA law) to keep indoor air pollution and air quality under control when you have employees. And for a lot of businesses, controlling toxic fine dust generated in various types of workshops or construction sites is accomplished by using a portable dust collector. But I bet you didn’t know that some business owners are not only using these dust collection systems—they’re renting them out when they’re not using them!

Portable industrial dust collectors are, in many cases, better than fixed or non-movable cyclone-type dust collection system simply because the unit can be moved to whatever room or site where dust removal is needed. This is especially important if your business is conducted at different work sites or shops on a regular basis. Cyclone dust collectors are do often include HEPA and carbon filters to remove both particles and fumes effectively, but also cost 3-4 times as much—and if you don’t really have fumes or odors to remove (just particles / dust), then why spend the extra money on a cyclone system when a dust collector will include the pre-filters and HEPA filters to effectively remove the toxic fine dust and larger particles and give you good air quality control for a lot less money.

So how much are quality portable dust collection systems? They’re usually around $2000-3000 (not $8-12,000 for a cyclone system), and as we mentioned, if it’s a portable unit, that means you can rent it out when you’re not using it (something you can’t do with a fixed cyclone dust collector), or get a second dust collector just for rental purposes (recommended). Who’s going to rent out a dust removal system? Mostly business owners that normally do sandblasting or woodworking in their own workshops, but sometimes need to do sandblasting or woodworking, repair, etc on-site at a customer’s location. This would enable them to increase revenue since they weren’t able to provide their services at other locations—but now they can because they can rent a dust collector and meet OSHA regulations wherever they go!

Construction sites sometimes need particle filtration as well, and especially when negative air (sucking particles / dust out of a room) or positive air (bringing clean, particle-free air into a room) is needed. You’ll find that there are construction or remodeling contractors that don’t need dust extractors all the time, but when they do, they’d probably be happy to rent one for a day or two. Portable dust collection systems are great for removing drywall dust, brick dust, & ceramic dust, too. And they’re especially good for large cabinet shops and sandblasting shops as they can be moved around as needed.

One particular portable dust collector that we recommend for your industrial or commercial business and for rentals is the Air Rhino 2000 VS HEPA industrial air cleaner from Electrocorp, mainly because of its superior performance, reputation, good warranty and lots of options, as well as an affordable price. The Air Rhino 2000 VS HEPA is made of solid steel, includes an commercial-grade pre-filter and HEPA filtration system, is positive and negative air capable, can be mounted to an HVAC system for whole building air cleaning or hung from the ceiling to save floor space.

And, since the Air Rhino can accept duct work on the input end, this dust collector can work as a source capture unit as well!  Just position the duct or tubing over or next to the area where particles need to be removed! The Air Rhino 2000 VS HEPA is one of the best portable industrial dust collectors we have seen, with the best value, the most options, best warranty, and quality particle filtration for the money.

Also, if you are going to rent out a dust extractor system, we do recommend getting a second or third unit for rentals simply because you don’t want to bring pollutants into your business that might somehow be lingering in or on the unit after customers use it. Set some guidelines and rules for using the dust collector, too—i.e., don’t use it to remove fumes and smoke as the HEPA filters won’t remove those but will likely leave an odor in the unit and chemical pollutants that blow out for a while after that!

And be sure to change the filters a little more often, not only to improve performance for your customers, but also to ensure that their isn’t something transferring from one customer’s use to another. Also check to make sure your liability insurance is in place to cover this rental activity, just to be sure. Once you have all that covered, you can start renting probably make at least a couple hundred bucks a day per unit–or more. Just check around and see what other people are charging, if they’re even offering dust collector rentals!

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com is proud to be an authorized distributor of Electrocorp dust collectors, dust filtration systems, and replacement filters, that are perfect for any workshop, woodshop, or industrial setting. Electrocorp can easily custom design a dust collection system to meet your needs–at an affordable price. And because we are an online store, we don’t have the overhead of a traditional store. That allows us to pass those savings on to you with cheap discount prices, and free shipping to anywhere in the Continental U.S. Call us toll free with your dust removal questions at 1-800-701-2513. Commercial Air Cleaners: Why It Pays To Have One, Even If You Don’t Think You Need It

For some businesses where pollutants are being produced and released into indoor air by welding, grinding, sanding, wood working, etc, it’s obvious and makes sense to have some kind of filtration system to make sure that harmful dust, fumes, and other pollutants are being removed, to help ensure good health for you and your employees. For other businesses that only maintain an office or a warehouse and only have a few employees, you might think that you really don’t need a portable or HVAC-based industrial air cleaner or air scrubber unit. In fact, you might think that your indoor air quality is well under control.

And you might be mostly right about that. But for the pollutants that are there (and studies show that all buildings, homes, offices, rooms, etc have some degree of indoor air pollution), you don’t want them causing health issues for you or your employees over time—and over time, without a quality air filtration system in place, they can. Offices, rooms, and warehouses all have varying degrees of dirt and dust that remains, and gets released from walls, furniture, ceilings, etc any time air blows across it.

Also, it’s been shown that fumes from cleaning products, solvents, paints, carpets, copiers, etc., are also present in most offices, rooms, and buildings. And yes, the HVAC system (if you have one) does bring in fresh air. The issue is that the fresh air does not completely get rid of the pollutants—it only dilutes them some, stirs them up, and what does escape, is replaced by new pollutants as they are constantly being released. And over time, the indoor air inside your office, shop, or other work site can become quite contaminated with all of the dust, fumes, and other pollutants.

And dust is not just dust or extra fine dirt—it usually contains about 200 dust mites per gram of dusts, plus mold spores, pollen, bacteria, viruses, and more. And guess what—without a portable commercial air purifier removing that dust (and all the other allergy & illness causing pollutants), you and your employees are breathing it every day.

Dust and fume or chemical vapor-based indoor pollutants have been identified as probable causes of over 75% of colds, flu, allergies, asthma, and other respiratory conditions. And any of these illnesses can mean loss of productivity for your business. Sick employees or those that just don’t feel ‘up to par’ produce less, and can end up creating negative press for your business when they don’t handle customers as politely as they should. And all it takes is one grumpy employee to make a complaint and you’ll be hearing from OSHA—and likely for a long time.

Which commercial air cleaner or air scrubber should you buy? It depends on what purpose the air purifier is going to be used for. For rooms and offices where concentrated fumes & dust aren’t present, one or more quality portable air cleaners similar to the ones you use at home, can do a great job, provided that they have a strong air filtration system that includes pre-filters, activated carbon filters, and a medical-grade HEPA filter. For industrial or commercial work sites, buildings, or warehouses where higher levels of chemical and dust or particle based pollutants are present, you want an industrial air filtration system or air purifier with extra amounts of the right type of activated carbon (carbon or charcoal that has been ‘tuned’ to absorb the pollutants present in your situation), plus a large enough HEPA filter to do the job, as well.

And you want to make sure that whatever commercial-grade air cleaner you buy can handle the amount of air space in the building, warehouse or room where air purification or air quality control is needed. Most OSHA requirements stipulate a certain number of clean air changes per hour, usually around 4-6, so make sure the air cleaner’s output or CFM can give you that—or purchase the 2-3 units or whatever is needed to give you those air changes & adequate pollution removal.

And by the way, you don’t just want an air sanitizer system that uses ions or a solution of some kind to kill microbial pollutants. Whatever industrial air cleaner you buy, make sure it has the high quality filters mentioned above. You want a ‘pollutant removal system’, not just something that kills bacteria, mold, etc. If it does both, that’s great, but the filters are a must. The bottom line is that even if you don’t think you need an air cleaner for your industrial or commercial business, it can help productivity, and prevent a lot of problems. And, installing a commercial-grade air filtration system can help indicate that you weren’t negligent, should any one file a claim or suit against you—sort of like a secondary type of insurance.

Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com sells the very best portable and HVAC or air conditioner-based commercial air purifiers, filtrations systems, air scrubbers, air sanitizers, replacement filters, even custom designed air filtration systems for virtually any commercial or industrial work site, building, office situation. Whole House Air Purifiers: The Most Cost-Effective Allergy Reduction Solution for Your Home?

Indoor air quality concerns continue to grow among Americans, as more and more people are being diagnosed with chronic allergies, asthma, and other respiratory conditions. And since more people are realizing that we’re spending over 90% of our time indoors, they are beginning to see that poor indoor air quality may just be the culprit.

With that knowledge, many people are turning to indoor air purification and various filtration systems for help. And though allergy medications can be expensive, it can be just as expensive to buy an electronic air cleaner for every room in your home, especially top rated deluxe units with a price tag in the $500-1000 range, each. A better solution that will offer effective filtration of all of the air in your home (and effective allergy relief) with one unit is an electronic whole house air cleaner system that attaches directly to the furnace or air conditioner ducts.

Quality whole house air purification systems, once attached to the air conditioner duct, take in all of the air from your home and send it through a pre-filter, a true HEPA filter, and carbon filters to remove the dust, dust mites, mold, pollen, bacteria, viruses, chemical vapors from cleaning products & solvents, odors and other pollutants commonly found in most homes. The best deluxe whole house air cleaners also come with excellent warranties, such as those from Aller Air. And, you can buy one of these filtration systems now for around $1200-1400, far less than trying to buy 5-6 room air cleaners at $500 or more each!

There are a couple of things to keep in mind when purchasing whole house air purifiers, however. First, the air cleaner needs to be installed in the duct work after the air conditioner coil, not before. This is because the coil stays moist from condensation and attracts dust, mold, etc, and unfortunately breeds bacteria, etc—and if your air cleaner is placed before the coil, all the air going out to the rest of your house will be polluted by the dirt, dust, etc that is released from the coil as air blows across it. By placing the unit after the coil, any pollutants from the coil will be trapped and not allowed to continue into your home’s air. Also, it is recommended that you install quality vent filters, as well, just in case there is anything in the duct work after where the air cleaner has been installed. One good full house air purification system and vent filters at each air register is a very effective air cleaning system for your whole home, and it’s far cheaper than buying several air purifiers. And, most people notice a difference in as little at 48 hours, with better sleep and fewer allergy symptoms.

I’m Breathing 2700 Gallons of Polluted Air Per Day? Seriously?

It’s true. The average human inhales about 3000 gallons of air per day, and unfortunately, a large amount of that air, up to 90% is usually polluted indoor air. It has also been shown that over 85% of homes and offices have varying degrees of air pollution from dust, dust mites, mold spores, pollen, bacteria, viruses, chemicals from cleaning supplies & carpets, fibers, and much more. And without a portable air purifier in the home, room, or office that Americans spend over 90% of their time in, we’re breathing around 2700 gallons of polluted, disease and allergy causing air, every day. That means our children are breathing it, too. And we wonder why we have more colds and flu during the winter time…could it be that we’re spending even more time indoors? Yep, research has proven that, as well.

Home air purifiers are essential to living a happy and healthy life, just as essential as using a water purification system so that we are drinking clean water. Most people recognize the need for clean water—but we inhale about 6000 times more air by volume than the 2 quarts of water most people drink per day (or should drink). I know. Wow. That’s what I said when I realized how much air we breathe and how much of a problem air pollution in our homes, rooms, and offices can be. It’s even been estimated that 75% of allergy and asthma symptoms could be dramatically reduced or eliminated in a matter of weeks if the air was clean and free of allergens, chemical pollutants, etc. But the drug companies aren’t going to tell you that—they want you to keep buying all of their medications and supplies, and spending an average of $650 a year per family. That’s enough to buy a quality portable air purifier for your home and spend that money one time, not every year. Hmmm….you might even be able to save that extra money you spent on allergy medications and put it toward that vacation you’ve been dreaming of…

Top rated air cleaners are gaining more and more attention these days simply because they are alleviating allergy and asthma symptoms, preventing illness, and reducing home and office cleaning. The best air purifiers (not necessarily the most expensive) include HEPA filters that remove 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns or smaller, and activated carbon filters that remove chemicals, gases, and odors that cause problems. And it just makes sense—if you buy a home air purification unit that removes the pollutants that cause the problem, then you won’t have the problem! And in most cases, that’s exactly what happens. Plus, portable air purifiers are great because you can take them with you and enjoy clean air wherever you go!

Be careful, however, as all home or room air cleaners are not the same. There are inexpensive air cleaners that have true HEPA filters and carbon filters and those are usually OK, but there are many ‘cheap’ air purifiers or highly advertised air cleaners (such as most air cleaners available at big department stores) that simply do not work as well, and overall aren’t a good deal. Your best deals on air purifiers, best values for the money, (such as Blueair, Austin Air, or Aller Air) are usually found at online air purifier stores that stock only top-rated, proven air cleaners that are good enough to be prescribed for medical purposes. And the good news is that you can get these air cleaners at reasonable prices now, with great warranties, with cheap or free shipping—and some companies even offer financing! And if you get a quality portable air purifier the first time, it will last for many years without having to replace it. Lastly, with an air purification system in place, you can ensure that the 3000 gallons of air you’re breathing every day is virtually pollutant-free, giving you peace of mind.

At Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com, we sell the very best quality electronic indoor air purification systems, replacement HEPA and carbon air filters, and many other tools and supplies to help keep your indoor air quality at its highest, healthiest level. And since we are an online store, we don’t have the overhead of traditional stores and we pass those savings on to you with cheap discount prices and free shipping every day. Children’s Health: Improve Indoor Air Quality and Make a Big Difference.

Ever wonder why kids seem to get more colds, runny noses, have allergies, etc? Well, common sense tells you, if they’re in nurseries, preschool or regular school every day, that they’re around a good number of other kids, and that’s probably where they get some of it from. And that is true, in many cases. What many parents don’t realize is that what often makes your kids (and other kids) catch colds and pass on to others is the same thing that affects many adults: poor indoor air quality.

Poor indoor air quality, without a top rated air filtration system in place, has been proven to cause not only increased colds, flu, and allergies, but other more serious illnesses, to the point that the EPA has placed poor indoor air quality in the top five major threats to our health. And it makes sense that this would affect our kids’ health, because it clearly affects adults breathing the same air. Why don’t the adults get sick as often as kids do? The main reason is that our immune systems are stronger.

The good news is that there is something we can do. It has been proven over and over in studies that cleaning up the indoor air in our homes can dramatically reduce the occurrence of colds, flu, allergies, asthma, and many other ailments, so it makes sense that if our children are breathing the same air that we are, removing the pollutants and improving the indoor air quality in our homes could help reduce illness for them and improve their overall health, as well. And when you remove pollutants like dust, dust mites, mold spores, smoke, chemicals, etc from the air, this actually removes things that tend to pull the immune system down, so having an air purifier or air cleaner system in place can work to strengthen the immune system and make it less likely they’ll get sick when they’re around other kids with colds, flu, etc.

Today’s top rated electronic air purifiers are very powerful and can do an excellent job of cleaning the air—if you do purchase a top rated air purifier. Why top rated? You want only top rated air cleaners because they include filtration systems with HEPA air filters, activated carbon filters, healthy negative ionic systems, and more that are designed to effectively clean the air in your home. And the best air purifiers or home air filtration systems aren’t always the most expensive. There are several brands of electronic air purifiers that we’ve found that offer all of the latest air purification technology at an inexpensive price.

Beware of cheap air purifiers, however, as most truly ‘cheap’ air cleaner are not made with the same quality materials, don’t have true HEPA filters, and you’ll usually have to buy a replacement air purifier within a year or so. Also, cheap air cleaners tend to allow polluted air to bypass the filters more than top rated air cleaners. This means that polluted air is being blown around more than it would if you didn’t have an air cleaner, which can actually make indoor air quality worse. Inexpensive air cleaners are different, however; they include the best filters and features to properly clean the air, but are made well, with good warranties--at an inexpensive price

Your best bet for quickly improving indoor air quality is to buy a top rated, AHAM certified air purifier or filtration system. AHAM certified means the unit is certified and tested to be able to clean the air effectively in that size home or area. And that means it will do a good job of keeping allergy, asthma, and illness-causing dust, mold spores, bacteria, viruses, etc. out of your childrens’ noses, and keep they healthy and happy for longer periods of time. And, you’ll get the benefit because you won’t be catching as many colds, flu, or dealing with allergies as much, either—which means lower medication costs, fewer trips to the doctor, and more. And since your children aren’t getting sick as often, they’re less likely to infect other kids, too. As you can see, top rated home air filtration systems can not only improve health, but can actually save you time and money in the long run.

At Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com, we sell the very best top rated electronic HEPA and activated carbon air purification systems, filters, smoke and odor removers, and more. Shopping Air Purifiers By Price: How To Get The Best Value At Any Price

When shopping for portable electronic air cleaners for your home, room, or office, price is often a factor. And you want to get the quality air filtration and features that you need, but at a price that works for you. How do you do that and be sure that you’re getting the best air purifier value, one that will not only improve indoor air quality, but do a good job of reducing allergies and asthma symptoms, controlling odors, improving your health, etc?

Well, you have to find a store that sells only top rated air purifiers or filtration systems. And that’s why Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com is such a good online source for buying portable air purifiers. We have done the research, checked reviews, and decided only to stock the air cleaners that are the very best, top rated air purifier values in each price category—air cleaners that include true, certified HEPA filters, activated carbon filters, healthy negative ions, solid construction, and good warranties. That way, no matter what price point or budget you’re working with, you can be assured that you’re getting an excellent air cleaner value that will perform well and last for years.

We have divided our top rated electronic air purifiers into 4 price categories: 1) Cheap or inexpensive room air cleaners under $200, 2) air purifiers from $201 to $599, 3) air cleaners from $600-$999, and 4) over $1000. And the price you see aren’t really an indicator of quality, as all of the manufacturers we’ve selected offer quality portable air cleaners. And, in most cases, with the air purifier manufacturers we’ve selected, the price indicates more of what size of room or office the air cleaner will work best for, and the type of filters, amount of carbon in the filters, etc—which is how it should be. You shouldn’t be worrying about quality—you should be focused on getting the air cleaner that will remove the mold, smoke, dust, or other indoor air pollutants best for your situation–at a price that’s comfortable for you. It is true, however, that paying a slightly higher air cleaner price can provide several times the air cleaning  and health benefits because of better filters and features. Best advice: Determine how important your health is to you, and then determine your budget.

If you don’t have the funds for several air cleaners, but need an air purifier for more than one room or office, a large room air cleaner, or need an purification system that attached to an air conditioning system, etc, Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com offers easy financing, as well! It is our position that no one should have to breathe polluted, unhealthy, allergy and asthma-causing indoor air just because of limited funds, and that’s why we worked out a deal with SpringLeaf Finance to help with financing. Your health and the health of your family could depend on whether you can clean up and control your indoor air, and we want to help make that happen.

At Air Purifiers and Cleaners.com, we offer the best air purifier prices, replacement filters, air quality test kits and more, with all the latest features and technology. And since we are an online store, we don’t have the overhead of traditional stores so we pass those savings on to you with free shipping and cheap discount prices, every day. If you have any questions about which portable air cleaner or filtration system is best for your home, room, office or other situation, give us a call toll-free at 1-800-701-2513. Our indoor air quality experts are standing by!
